| 2 | M&L of water proofing treatment to roof slab with APP based modified polymeric membrane centre core 100mm micron HMHDPE outer film 20 micron each having thickness 3mm weight not less than 3kg/Sqm as per manufacturer’s instructions with torch applicationcomplete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge with following course of description below:-(a) 10 mm thick plaster in CM 1:4 with WPC will be applied over the roof slab when concrete is green. After the plaster is cured the roof will be tested for water tightness by ponding with water for seven days for any seepage is observed the rectification will be carried out by pressure grouting under the pressure of 5kg/sqcm using cement based cement grout. After the surface is repaireds the slab will be tested for water tightness again before proceeding with further treatment. (b) the surface of roof, parapet and gutters, drain mouths, etc. over which waterproofing treatment is to be applied shall be cleaned of all foreign matter such as, fungus, moss, dust etc by wire brushing and dusting. For cast iron drain out lets a grove shall be cut around to tuck in the treatment. Concrete angle-fillets shall be provided at junctions between roofs and vertical faces of walls (parapet and other walls) around obstacles such as pipes, chimney stacks, etc. and other similar situation to ease up about corners.(c) Bitumious based primer confiorming to IS: 3384 @ 0.3 kg/SM to be applied on prepared surface, till the surface is property. impregnated. (d) After the application of approved bituminous primer the water proofing membrane shall be laid on the primed surface by torch application method as per manufacturer's instruction. The overlap while toching shall be 100mm in longitudinal direction and 100 mm in transverse direction. All overlap joints shall be sealed thoroughly by thermo fusing both the membrane layer and seling it with the help of hot trowel. The overlap joints shall be made as a monolithic layer.(e) All joints and changes in direction should be curved with cement mortar 1:3 mixed with SBR latex @ 200ml per bag of cement and cured well before laying the membrane. |
| 3 | M&L for water proofing treatment for roof by applying priming coat of epoxy primer with resin and hardner in 1:3 ratio with water dilution as per manufacturer instructions, applying 2 coats of solvent based Polyurethane liquid applied membrane not less than 500 micron thick UV stable having SRI value greater than equal to 105 with consumption of 0.61 kg/sqm (each coat), 2nd coat should be applied once 1st coat becomes dry completely all as specified and directed.Make: Asian Paints, Berger or equivalent Note:(i) The work under this item shall be carried out by the authorized applicator of Manufacturer by using modern techniques. The contractor shall also furnish warranty of quality, finish work and effectiveness of waterproofing treatment under this item for a periof of 10 years from the date of completion along with manufacturer warranty of material for the same period. (II) Height of bldg is more than 10 meters and roof have continous series of trapizium with no staircase to reach at the top of the building |
