| 10 | Preparation of surfaces by sweeping cleaning and washing down with water to remove dust and loose particles over RCC slab for providing roof treatment, removal of unserviceable debris to outside MD land, and applying bitumen primer @0.30kg/sqm providing and laying 4mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane weight not less than 4.0 kg/sqm reinforced with non woven polyster mat weight not less than 160gm/sqm having softening point not less than 140 Degree centigrade longitudinal tensile strength not less than 520N per 5cm tearing strength of 180N (by torch application method) with minimum of 100mm side lap and 150mm end laps by application of torch. Applying a coat blown grade hot bitumen 85/25 under and over the membrane @ 1.20kg/sqm in each layer and applying 2 coats over and above membarine of silar reflective bitumenous aluminium paint @ 0.1Kg/sqm all as specified and as per manufacturr's instructions. The membrane shall be inserted in to the wall /parapet wherever required. mouth of rainwater pipes, gutters shall be properly treated to avoid ingress of the water. Note: (i) The rate quoted by the contractor shall be included for dismantling and refixing of PVC water tanks hoisted on roof, taking down and refixing of water tubing and any other fittings on roof as required and no extra shall be paid.(ii) The work shall be carried out complete as per manufacturer’s specifications and application methodology. Execution to be done with authorised trained / skilled applicator of manufacturer as per technical guidance laid by manufacturer. | 11 | \\"ROOF TREATMENT FOR ACCESSIBLE ROOF :M&L for Roof treatment for accessible roof as under: -(i) Preparation of surfaces by sweeping cleaning and washing down with water to remove dust and loose particles over RCC slab for providing roof treatment.(ii) Apply polyurethane waterproofing coating on prepared concrete surface of roof slab & up to 300 mm of parapets and crumple joint including junction of roof and parapet. Any minor cracks in the screed should be sealed with grouting and crack filling material or epoxy sealant filler. This stage shall be passed by the GE.(iii) Method: Cleaning the surface and applying FOSROC Nitoproof 650PU over a priming coat of FOSROC Nitoproof WB Primer or equivalent product of Asian paints , M/s M C Bauchemic / CIPY/ SIKA / Pidilite / Dr Fixit / Thermax / STP applied as per manufacturer’s instructions.(iv) Ponding test for 72 hrs to be carried out and no leakage / seepage shall be ensured. Any rectification to be done at the cost of contractor repeating above steps of application to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Further provide a polypropylene / polester , nonwoven geotextile fabric of 150 gsm followed by cement screed 15mm in CM (1:4) in slope and Machine cut kota stone tiles / slabs 20-25mm thick (except Kota stone) are laid. While laying tiles, care should be taken to see that joints between tiles are kept minimum and joints are thoroughly filled with FOSROC Nitotile grout polymer based joint mortor or equivalent products of Asian Paints/ / M/s M C Bauchemic / CIPY/ SIKA / Pidilite Dr fixit / Thermax / STP as approved by GE, applied as per manufacturer's instructions. |
