| 57 | SAFETY FEATURESMotor overheat protection , phase failure and reversal protection and features as per ISI / IS code /NBC Provision.Every lift installation shall necessarily be provided with the safety features in accordance with IS 14665(Part-4/Sec-4):2001.Note:-(i) Contractor shall note that the defects liability period for lift shall be three years from the cerftified date of completion as certified by AGE(I). During the said defects liability period, the lift shall be kept functioned serviceable all the time and all consumable items shall also be provided by contractor for runnig of the lift without any additional cost to the department.(ii) The lift shall be inspected and commissioned by the lift inspector and it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to get the lift inspected & commissioned without any extra cost to the department. Cost of the above provisions shall be deemed in the rates quated by contractor. (iii) All dimensions given above are recommended dimensions . In the event of any variations mutually agreed between manufacturer and purchaser are permitted. However, variation in car inside dimensions shall be within the maximum area limits specified in 1S 14665 (Part 3/Sec 1). |
| 58 | (iv) Dimensions of pit depth and overhead may differ in practice as per individual manufacturer’s design depending upon load, speed and drive. However, the pit depth and overhead shall be such as to confirm to the requirements of bottom clearance and top clearance of IS 14665 (Part 2/Sec 1).(v) Contractor to obtain permission and approval prior to commencement of work and lift license from state govt authority.(vi) Item cost includes required scaffolding & structural steel brackets for erecting lift as per above specification, obtaining required all necessary permissions of Lift inspector to erect and complete the elevator work, Laisons to operate the elevators including all necessary charges, payments for the same etc complete.(vii) Contractor to verify all above required dimension at site prior to procurement of lift. The unit rates quoted by contractor shall deem to include this aspect also. Nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. In case area is not cleared by contractor around the installation recovery @Rs. 3000/- per month/per installation shall be made from contractor.(ii) The unit rates quoted by the contractor shall including cleaning of lifts. DG Set and including of repairs for operation of lifts.(iii) Contractor shall also be responsible for proper maintenance and operation of lift,maintain log sheet of lift and DG Set for proper operation. |
