| 2 | Dismantling and fixing back of CI troughsMake necessary site arrangements/tools & tackles and necessary lifting arrangement for the work and use proper PPE kit for the work. After getting clearance open the top dummies and Manhole of the FAT and provide required scaffolding. Candle filters shall be removed as per the requirement and to be kept in safe condition( for refixing it after the trough replacement work) . Plasma cutting shall be arranged for cutting SS bolts. Acid headers and distributions pipes shall be dismantled and taken out from circulation area one by one. After taking out the acid headers, all the cast Iron acid troughs shall be dismantled in pieces and be taken out from FAT. All the spray tubes shall be dismanlted and taken out beforehand.All the saddles shall be cleared from the spray tubes area, so that trough can be lifted easily. Transport the spare CI troughs from the repair area to FAT side. Lift and erect the troughs into the FAT. Position the entire spare reconditioned CI acid troughs over the old support and connect them by bolting the flange joints using suitable fasteners. Spray tubes shall be taken into the FAT and fixed on to the new trough as per the drawing provided by engineer in Incharge. New spray tubes shall be taken from store as per site instructions. After fixing of CI trough, fix back the SS acid header & its distribution pipes and fasten the joints without any leak.Refix the removed candle filters ( if any) with new gaskets and fasteners All scaffolding shall be removed after work completion. After checking the circulation and getting process clearance,all the dummies shall be closed and sealed suitably. The damaged troughs/sparytubes shall be transported to scrap yard / designated area after due inspection by site engineer. |
