The material shall be of approved brand and manufactured in accordance with relevant quality requirements. Only pre-approved shade and material shall be used.Before application, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned to remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, organic growth, loose particles, old flaking paint and any other foreign matter. All cracks, dents and surface undulations shall be repaired using approved wall putty or plaster of Paris, and the surface shall be made smooth using sandpaper. The surface shall be properly dried and cleaned before application.One coat of approved primer shall be applied over the prepared surface. | 30 | ALUMINIUM WORKS- Providing material and labour for fixing in position frames, shutter for any type of aluminium work for any type of door, window, partition, made out of any type of aluminium sections of approved make having minimum 50 micron pure polyester powder coating of approved shade, texture & colour of approved make for all floors, all levels, all heights, all shapes, all sizes including cutting, bending, crimping, fabricating in best workmanship manner etc as per the drawing, specification and as directed by Architect or Engineer-in-Charge. The type of finish such as double charge, nano polished, matt or anti-skid shall be as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Before fixing, the existing floor or base surface shall be cleaned properly and made free from dust, grease or loose material. Any unevenness on the surface shall be corrected by applying cement mortar in proportion 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand). In case the tiles are laid over cement concrete flooring, the surface shall be well roughened and washed before laying. Tiles fixed using 20 mm average thick cement mortar 1:4 or using approved polymer-modified tile adhesive. When laying over mortar, cement slurry shall be applied on the back of the tile at the rate of 3.3 kg per sqm to ensure proper bonding. If adhesive is used, tiles shall be fixed strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions to ensure full bedding support without voids.Tiles shall be laid in proper line and level, with joints kept uniform. After laying, tile joints shall be neatly grouted using white or coloured cement mixed with matching pigments. The surface shall be cleaned immediately after fixing to remove mortar stains, adhesive marks or grout residues. Upon completion of work, the entire flooring shall be cleaned with a soft detergent and maintained until curing is completed.
