| 2 | (g) Applying petroleum jelly to moving contact arms and applying approved insulating solution (Doctor Beck or equivalent) to insulated moving parts of the breaker, followed by final re-assembly, testing, and commissioning of the VCB.(h) The item includes all labour, tools, tackles, consumables, minor hardware, and materials necessary to put the breaker into fully serviceable condition, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note:The cost of all incidental materials and consumables such as bolts, nuts, washers, spring washers, petroleum jelly, contact cleaner (CTC), insulating solution, etc., required to make the breaker serviceable shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Replacement of major defective components, if required, shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items. |
| 3 | M&L for calibration and testing of protection relays of any type and make by conducting primary current injection tests on 11 kV HT VCB/OCB panels, including connected auxiliary relays, by injecting current as per the primary ratio of CTs through CT busbar terminals and associated protective relays/tripping coils.The item includes verification and setting of relay parameters, checking and rectification of defects in control wiring, if any, to ensure correct tripping of circuit breaker, achievement of proper discrimination and coordination in tripping time with upstream breakers, and setting based on actual load conditions.The work further includes complete testing, recording of observations, preparation and submission of detailed test reports with recommendations, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 4 | Note:Calibration and testing of VCBs/OCBs shall be carried out by an authorised technician of the OEM, duly approved by the GE. The contractor shall provide all necessary testing kits, primary injection test equipment, tools, tackles, and instruments, and prepare panel-wise detailed test reports, duly bound, and submit the same to the department. The cost of all testing kits and equipment shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Testing and tuning shall be carried out in the presence of the Engineer-in-Charge to the full satisfaction of the department, failing which payment for this item shall not be made. No claim whatsoever from the contractor shall be entertained on this account. |
