| 12 | GENERAL NOTES COMMONLY APPLICABLE TO ITEM NO 1.01 TO 1.08 (CONTD....)(3) Careful Execution & ProtectionAll dismantling, handling, repair, welding, alignment, and re-erection works shall be carried out carefully and systematically so as not to cause any damage to existing doors, rails, structures, finishes, or embedded parts.(4) Safety RequirementsThe contractor shall strictly follow all safety precautions, including use of PPE, proper scaffolding, barricading, warning signage, and safe lifting/jacking arrangements.(5) Tools, Plants & MachineryAll T&P, scaffolding, lifting arrangements, jacks, welding equipment, and machinery required shall be arranged by the contractor and deemed to be included in the quoted rates.(6) Rectification of DamageAny damage caused to hangar doors, rails, structures, or surrounding installations due to the contractor’s operations shall be made good or replaced at the contractor’s own cost.(7) Inspection, Trial & AcceptanceAfter completion of repair of each door, the same shall be cleaned, lubricated, adjusted, and operated repeatedly to demonstrate smooth and safe functioning before acceptance.(8) Quality & Workmanship ResponsibilityThe contractor shall remain fully responsible for the quality of workmanship and proper functioning of doors repaired under Items 1–8 during the execution period. |
| 13 | SPECIAL RESPONSE & PENALTY NOTE (APPLICABLE TO ITEM NO 1.09)(1) Attendance & InspectionThe contractor shall attend the site within 24 hours of intimation, inspect the complaint, assess the defect, and take necessary immediate action to ensure safety and functionality.(2) Rectification PeriodWhere replacement of parts or major rectification is involved, the contractor shall complete the work within the time period approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.(3) Penalty ClauseIn case the contractor fails to attend the site within 24 hours of intimation, recovery at the rate of ₹500 per day per door shall be effected till the date of attendance, without prejudice to the department’s right to get the work executed through other agencies at the risk and cost of the contractor. |
