| 55 | The work involves providing and applying waterproofing treatment on the roof of the building, covering an area of approximately 1250 sq.ft (116.13 m²). The scope includes thorough cleaning of the roof surface, removing all loose mortar, dust, dirt, oil, and other foreign matter to ensure proper bonding of the waterproofing system. Where necessary, cement-sand plaster (1:3) of 12 mm thickness will be laid to form adequate slope for drainage and prevent water stagnation. A cementitious waterproofing compound or approved bituminous coating will then be applied over the prepared surface, including parapets, upstands, and junctions, ensuring complete coverage. To protect the waterproofing layer from mechanical damage, a 20 mm thick cement-sand mortar protection layer (1:4) will be provided with a smooth and uniform finish. All materials used shall be of approved quality as per CPWD specifications, and the work shall be executed by skilled labor under proper supervision to ensure a durable, leak-proof roof.
