Chromogenic Media a.Microbiological media enriched with Chromogenic Chemical substrate in the dry powder form for isolation, differentiation, enumeration, identification and confirmation of coliform bacteria and Escherichia Coli in the drinking water samples b.The media shall be used for identification and differentiation of the E. Coli, other coliform bacteria and other bacteria in water sample with color differentiation after inoculation and incubation at 35-37 degree C after 18-24 hours. c. Shall be easily soluble in water at the boiling point of the water. d.Shelf life shall be not less 24 months. e.One unit shall contains dry powder Sufficient for testing 2,500 water samples
