| 38 | Surface preparation: Thorough cleaning work, removal of loose screed, repairing the damaged tile portions and filling any minor potholes with polymer modified mortar using Fosroc Nitobond SBR or equivalent mixed with cement and quartz sand in the ratio of 2.5 litres per bag of cement. The vegetation growth around the drain pipe and other locations shall be completely removed to the roots with the aid of solvents or acids. All the cracks shall be provided with cementitious injection grouting using Cebex 100 and surface cracks sealed with Fosroc Nitobond SBR or equivalent admixed cementitious mortar. |

| 40 | Waterproof Coating: Providing and applying two coats of Brushbond Roofguard Premium, single component Acrylic based modified Polyurethane elastomeric Solar Reflective cum waterproofing coating at 0.5mm thickness over the primer layer of Nitoproof WB of Fosroc or equivalent mixed with water in ratio 1:2 and applied at coverage of 8 - 10 sqm / litre (diluted with water) after thorough surface preparation and allowed to dry.The single component coating shall be applied in 2 coats using roller or brush or aqueegee or airless spray at wet film thickness of 0.5mm per coat at coverage of 0.5 litre / sqm over the designated area. Theproduct shall have a solid content of 50%, Tensile strength >2Mpa (ASTM D412), Elongation >250% (ASTM D412), Shore A Hardness : 75 (ASTM D2240), Tear Strength : 13 N/mm (ASTM D624), Adhesion to substrate : 2 Mpa concrete failure (ASTM D4541), Crack bridging : 2mm ( ASTM C 836), UV resistance 1000 hours : Pass ( ASTM D4587) , Service Temperature : -10°C to +60°C ,SRI- 100% .The coating shall be extended to the parapet wall total height as per manufacturer\"s specification.In case of severe dampness an additional coat of damp proof materials to be applied. |

| 42 | (i) A performance guarantee certificate for 10 years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. |
| 43 | (ii) The unit rate quoted is deemed to include taking down cables, wires, earthing strips etc found on roof and refix the same at the original position after complete treatment of roofs. |
| 44 | (iii) The unit rate quoted shall be inclusive of material, all labours, tools and plants including scaffolding required for working upto any height from natural ground level. |
| 45 | (iv) Necessary safety arrangement like safety belts, ropes, helmets, netting etc which are required for safety of working labour at height exc 3m to be provided by the contractor and the rate for this provision is deemed to be inclusive in the quoted rate. |
