The earth pit should provided with a light weight inspection pit cover PT -205 for protection and safe guard of terminals. In areas where soil condition is bad Good earth is to be arranged to fill the excavated pits by mixing fursecem a convenient and permanent solution by adding with 3:1 ratio chemical compound with the earth electrode is the main component of the earthing system which is in direct contact with the ground and thus provides a mean of releasing or collecting earth leakage currents. The material should have good electrical conductivity and anti corrosion property in wide range of soil conditions. Make : ABB FurseCEM as per RB 336. Each earth pit should contain:- 1.) 1 no. copper bonded high tensile low carbon steel, 17. 2 mm dia , 3 meter length. 2.) Rod to tape clamp (type A). 3.) 25kg chemical compound as per BSEN 50164-7 4.) Light weight inspection pit cover with 5000kg weight load capacity Complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. |
