| 1 | NOTES FOR ITEM NO. 2, 3, 4, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 32, 33 and 34:-(a)MOU with Manufacturer’s of Paint: Irrespective of whatever specified elsewhere in tender documents, the work against item No.2, 3, 4, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 32, 33 and 34 of BOQ only shall be got executed through authorized applicator of manufacturer’s as mentioned in Appendix –‘B’ of tender documents. Tenderers are deemed to have entered into a triparty agreement between tenderer,manufacturer’s of Paints and their authorised Applicator before quoting their bids and a valid MOU on Non Judicial Stamp paper of Rs. 100/- (format of MOU enclosed for reference as Annexure ‘A’) towards same is to be uploaded along with other Technical bid documents, and financial bids of only those tenderers shall be admitted whosoever MOUs are found to be satisfying contract conditions. MOU shall also cover the aspect towards Guarantee and defect rectification during guarantee period. Authorised Applicator of above mentioned Paint Manufacturers shall have valid authorization letter.(b) Cost of scaffolding upto 10m height of building shall be included in the quoted rate.(c) For surface preparation, complete removal, scraping and putty surface preparation mechanical sander (having mechanical vaccum mechanism) having RPM not less than 1500, with sanding pad should be used.(d) For application of Primer, Paint and Putty fully automatic airless spray machine should be used.(e)After preparation of the surface, Engr-in-Charge shall approve the same before applying primer and finishing coats. |
| 2 | (f) Building wise stage passing register shall be maintained and shall be signed by Engr-in-Charge and contractor. Each stage shall be passed by Engineer-in-Charge before commencement of subsequent stage. The stage will be as follows (i) Surface preparation (ii) Application of Putty (iii) Application of Primer (iv) Application of Ist coat of Acrylic distemper/emulsion (v) Application of IInd coat of Acrylic distemper/emulsion (g) The equipments to be used in the work shall be certified by the manufacturer.(h) Paint to be centrally deposited with Engineer-in-Charge and store to be double locked with one lock of contractor and second lock of department, Paint will be issue centrally for execution of by MES Auth.(j) At the Execution time door and windows will be proper covered/protect and will be cleaned the walls, glass, window, window/door frame, floor, plinth protection, pavement after execution of work. |
| 3 | M & L for preparation of old surfaces by complete removal of existing treatment of painted walls including pillar etc. by mechanical equipments like electric wall sander/water jet machine and applying cement based putty of 1 mm thickness over plastered surface to prepare the surface even and smooth and applying two coat of distemper with 1st quality acrylic distemper (ready mixed) having VOC content less than 50 gms/litre, of approved manufacturer, of required shade and colour over a coat of alkali resistant primer complete, by mechanical means as per manufacturer\"s specification, complete all as specified and as directed. |

| 9 | Material and labour for rendering 15mm thick in 1:4 on fair faces of brick masonry or concrete surfaces of walls, chajja, fins facia etc in two coatsfirst coat of 10 mm in cement mortar 1:4 & 2nd coat of 5 mm in cement mortar 1:4 mixed with liquid water proofing liquid (ISI marked) @ 200ml/bag of cement or as per manufacturer’s instructions upto 3 storie height, finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified. Note :- Supply only water proofing liquid shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items. |

| 24 | M&L Complete removal of existing treatment of walls, washing, rubbing down and stopping of distempered and painted surfaces and applying water proofing external cement based putty on external oldwalls (as required for desired smoothness and leveling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made acrylic 2mm thick wall care putty including sand papering after applying the putty, to make surface smooth and ready for receiving painting etc, complete all as specified and directed.Notes : (i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further finishes.(ii)The make of water proof external cement based putty shall be as per the recommendation of manufacturer of paint. |

| 26 | M&L for complete removal of existing treatment andapplying acrylic wall care putty on internalsurfaces of walls/ceilings/soffits (as required for desired smoothness and leveling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made acrylic 02mm thick wall care putty including sand papering after applying the putty, to make surface smooth and ready for receiving painting etc,complete all as specified and directed.Notes : (i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further finishes.(ii)The make of acrylic wall care putty shall be as per the recommendation of manufacturer of paint. |

| 29 | M&L for preparation of new plastered surface and applying water proofing external cement based putty on external newwalls (as required for desired smoothness and leveling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made acrylic 2mm thick wall care putty including sand papering after applying the putty, to make surface smooth and ready for receiving painting etc,complete all as specified and directed.Notes : -(i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further finishes.(ii)The make of water proof external cement based putty shall be as per the recommendation of manufacturer of paint. |
