Tender For Construction Work Of The First Floor Of The War Memorial At Buddhi Vihar. - The project involves the complete execution of civil, electrical, and mechanical works required for the construction of the main first floor (Partham Tal) at the Buddhi Vihar Shaheed War Memorial. The scope includes structural works, power supply arrangements, elevator system installation, and finishing activities to ensure safety, durability, and accessibility as per engineering standards. The work also covers providing a 3-phase power supply terminated with ELCB and earthing up to the main switch in the machine room, installation of main switches of 63A, 25A, and 16A capacities, and complete lighting circuits for the machine room and pit area. Outlets and switches are to be provided for the use of power tools as per the erector’s requirement, along with proper lighting and ventilation arrangements in the machine room and lift pit with suitable air-conditioning to maintain optimal working conditions. The scope further includes the construction of a reinforced concrete machine room structural slab of 150 mm thickness, designed to sustain a minimum load of 1000 kg/m² UDL as per the approved design and relevant building codes. A fixed vertical iron ladder is to be provided in the pit extending a minimum of 760 mm above the lowest landing level. Suitable access doors with louvers and proper ventilation at the machine level are to be provided, along with adequate supports immediately under bearing plates to ensure load-bearing safety and impact resistance. Hoistway walls are to be constructed and finished to allow secure fixing of guide rail brackets and elevator components, ensuring plumb alignment and structural stability. All grouting and filling works around the elevator entrances are to be completed carefully, maintaining alignment and smooth finishing in all respects. 2 Entrance frames shall be fixed accurately in plumb and square with the hoistway, maintaining proper entrance dimensions between frames. All cement-bonded surfaces of the hoistway pit, machine room walls, floors, and ceilings are to be finished and painted to minimize the accumulation and circulation of dust, ensuring a clean and safe environment for installation and operation. Mechanical provisions include preparation of wall pockets for rail brackets, hall buttons, position indicators, and unlocking devices at all landings as per the approved design drawings. Steel beams and structural members shall be provided and fixed in position according to the design specifications, ensuring that the span of any beam does not exceed ten times its depth. Suitable scaffolding is to be arranged wherever required during the installation phase to ensure safe and efficient execution of the works. All works shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the relevant building codes, elevator installation standards, and approved drawings attached herewith. The entire construction shall ensure adequate ventilation, electrical safety, and ease of maintenance, with quality and workmanship maintained as per standard engineering and safety practices. The works under this project aim to provide a structurally sound, safe, and accessible system at the Buddhi ViharWar Memorial, integrating a modern elevator system along with necessary civil, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure as shown in the attached drawings. Including a defect liability period of three years.
