Tender For Restoration Of Zameen Building In Dae Township, Kalpakkam.; 1 Labour charges for Segregation of reusable materials like wooden rafters, bricks, stones & steel pipes, etc.,from the building / dismantled debris, stack them carefully on the site with in a lead of 100mtrs,etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: 1) The Contractor shall be engaged one unskilled person for this work.2) One operation involves one or all activities of descriptions mentioned above for a net working time of 8 (eight) hours in a day. 2 Removal of vegetation growth from the building structure including uprooting the rootsembedded in concrete/masonry, cutting stem, application of hericide or biocide treatment using Glycel (Isopropylamine salt of glyphosate) or as other approved chemical, collecting rubbish from the site, stacking within 100mtrs lead, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: The work shall be carried out without any vibration and without disturbingstructure members. 3 Clearing heavy jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth upto 30cm measured at a height of 1m above ground level, removal of rubbish and stacking upto a distance of 100mtrs outside the periphery of the area cleared, cutting and stacking the useful fire wood if any within an initial lead of 100 mtrs etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. 4 Supplying and fixing shade net (Green Net) for under construction of buildings in order to avoid dust and other falling materials during execution including required supporting MS pipes and clambs, vertical and horizontal supports & strengthing of pipes, etc.,all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. 5 Barricading the building by providing and fixing GI sheet around the site for isolating the building to ensure safety requirement including making supports to the barricade with necessary MS pipe post, providing temporary shutter/door, removing the barricade after completing the work, etc., all complete as directed by theEngineer-in-charge. (Note: The elevational area of the barricade shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of barricade.) 6 Propping and supporting the structural members and its adjoining areas with Steel Prop of up to 5 MT Capacity and up to 3.40 m height (adjustable or as required), bracings, steel/timber runners etc to relieve the structural member of the required load coming over it as per the pattern given by the contractor & approved by Engineer-in-charge complete. 7 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side at all height made using 40mm diameter M.S. tube spaced @ 1.5m center to center at both horizontal and vertical joining with cup and lock system with M.S.tube, M.S.tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc., including maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved, removing after completion of repair works, the scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners connection with the building, etc., wherever required for essential safety features for the workmen, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note: 1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. 2)The buildings are of Ground+1 storeyed structure and the contractor has to observe all safety procedure while working on heights as per I.S. 3696 (Part-I) - 1987. (Safety Code for scaffolds).3) All working platform must be of minimum 600 mm wide, made of M.S pipe and must have guard rails as per specification.4) Screen of suitable material shall be provided to the full height of scaffolding and securely tied to protect falling objects coming out during the repair work is in progress.5) To protect workers on lower platform against falling objects from higher level over head protection should be provided on the scaffolds.6)Necessary aluminium/ M.S. ladder shall be provided at the cost of the contractor, to the full height of scaffolding at required location around the building to enable Departmental Supervisor/Engineer climb up and closely watch the repair work of the building. 8 Providing and laying in position of plain cement concrete 1 : 2 : 4 (1 cement : 2 sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 25mm nominal size) using machine crushed hard broken granite stone of nominal size 20mm for all insitu levelling courses in foundations, floor, roof screeding, encasing pipes, etc., including mechanical mixing, ramming, compaction, leveling, curing, dewatering, if any including the cost of formwork etc., all complete as per specifications. 9 Providing Pre-Construction Anti-termite Treatment using Chlorpyriphos E.C 20% with 1 % concentration or other approved chemical as detailed below including cost of chemicals, labour and all other incidental charges for entire ground floor area of building and injecting termicide emulsion to the soil in contact with the foundation along the perimeter of both internal and external walls, etc., all as per IS: 6313 (Part-2). 1) Top surface of consolidated earth within plinth walls shall be treated with chemical emulsion @ 5 Ltr/Sq.m of the surface before the sand bed or sub-grade is laid. 2) Treatment along the external perimeter and internal perimeter at junction of the wall and the floor of the building shall be treated with chemical emulsion @ 7.5 Ltr/Sq.m, to facilitate this holes shall be provided @ 150mm apart upto GL for inner side and upto 300mm below GL for external perimeter. 3) The entire treatment shall be done as per the specifications and instructions of the termicide Manufacturer and as directed by the Department. 4) The treatment should be done by an agency specialized in the job having sufficient knowledge of anti termite treatment. 5) Five years guarantee from the date of completion of maintenance period shall be given by the contractor in the prescribed format of the department for the above anti-termite treatment work. 10 Providing, erecting, placing in position and removing Formwork for all insitu concrete works at all lifts and all shapes such as circular works, chamfers, splays, etc., using Plywood shuttering including centering, scaffolding, strutting, propping with necessary bracing in all areas, fixing of EPs, cutting holes and fixing pipe sleeves, applying of approved form oil over surface in contact with concrete, de-shuttering after specified curing period, etc., all complete as per drawings and specifications.Note: Measurement for the formwork shall be the area of forms in contact with concrete surfaces. Stop boards for construction joints will not be measured separately for payment. Centering and shuttering where exceeding 3.5m height in one floor shall be measured and paid for separately. 11 For Plain Surfaces upto (+)15.0 m level 12 Providing and casting insitu Reinforced Cement Concrete of the following grades of design mix by Weigh batching using machine crushed hard broken granite stone of nominal size 20mm including cost of admixtures in recommended proportion wherever required, mechanical mixing, transporting, placing at all lifts, vibrating, consolidation, curing, finishing smooth all exposed faces, for all insitu concreteitems, etc., as per drawings and specifications.Note :1) The rate quoted shall be exclusive of reinforcement and formwork which will be paid for separately under relevant items.2) The rate of concrete shall include the cost of admixture in recommended proportions as per IS 9103 as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.3) Cement proportion for Concrete Mix shall be on the basis of weigh batching only as per design mix.4) The cost towards any upward / downward variation required to obtain the specified strength over the minimum cement content will be paid for or deducted at the rate specified in Schedule F. 13 M 30 Grade Concrete(The Cement content considered is 370 Kg per Cu.m) - above FFL and upto floor V 14 Providing, cutting, bending, placing and binding steel reinforcement using TMT bars of Fe-500 / Fe-500D grade in all reinforced cement concrete works including cutting, bending,fixing, tieing in position with 1.6 mm dia soft drawn annealed binding wire, cost of cover blocks in C.M 1:2, etc., complete as per specifications and drawings. ImportantNote: The required quantity of steel reinforcement as mentioned in the schedule should be procured by the contractor only of SAIL, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (VIZAG), TATA Steel & JINDAL from authorised dealers which shall conform to IS: 1786 (Latest Edition). 15 Providing, hoisting and fixing in position of 100mm thick precast lintelin cement concrete 1:2:4 using hard broken stones of maximum size 20mm finished smooth of various sizes, small lintels not exceeding 1.5m clear span up to floor five level and patterns including necessary formwork and moulds, mechanical mixing, finishing the exposed surface, curing, fixing at all levels, grouting with CM / Cement grout wherever required, etc., all complete excluding cost of reinforcement which will be measured separately under relevant item as per specifications and as direction of the Engineer-in-charge. 16 Providing and laying brick masonry at all level with well burnt chamber bricks of class 7.5 of approved quality in Lime Mortar 1:1:1 (1 lime putty : 1 surkhi : 1 course sand) as per traditional preparation in all shapes and sizes including scaffolding, curing, raking out joints, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 17 Providing and laying brick masonry at all level using retrived bricks in Lime Mortar 1:1:1 (1 lime putty : 1 surkhi : 1 course sand) as per traditional preparation in all shapes and sizes including scaffolding, curing, raking out joints, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 18 Providing and fixing Granite stone Plaque of approved size using 16-18mm thick gang saw cut mirror polished (pre moulded and prepolished slab) Jet black or other approved shade granite stone engraved with approved font letters, logo, symbol, etc., using machine cut/ flame finishand border/letters with golden finish colour including fixing the plaque over 12mm thick Cement mortar 1 : 3 (1 Cement : 3 Coarse sand) or approved adhesive, pointing with White cement mortar 1 : 2 (1 White cement : 2 Marble dust) with an admixture of pigment to match the granite/marble shade, fixing to be secured to the backing by means of suitable approved cramps if required, finishing the surface, curing, etc.,all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.(Note: The Granite stones shall be got approved by the Engineer before making bulk order.) 19 Providing and fixing Marble / Granite work gang saw cut mirror polished, (pre moulded and prepolished slab) machine, vanity counters, window sills, facias and similar locations of required size of approved shade, colour and texture laidover 20mm thick base cement mortar 1 : 4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) with joints treated with white cement mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, etc., including rubbing, curing, finishing, providing holes of required diameter, providing opening to fix counter basins, providing grooves wherever required, etc., all complete at all levels as per specifications.(Note: The marble/Granite stones slab shall be got approved by the Engineer before making bulk order.) 20 Rajnagar plain White marble/Udaipur green marble/Zebra black marble (14 - 16mm thick) 21 Providing Half Round Edge Mouldingto 16-18mm thick marble / Granite or 20mm thick Kota stone counters, vanities, sills, etc. including machine polishing theedges to give high gloss finish etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer - in – charge. 22 Marble work 23 Granite work 24 Providing and fixing 14-16mm thick White Agaria Marble Stone slab table rubbed, exposed edges rounded and polished of required size and fixed in urinal partitions, shelves above wash basin, etc., by cutting a chase of appropriate width with chase cutter and embedding the stone into the chase with epoxy grout or with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 6 mm nominal size) finished smooth, front face polishing, rounding the edges, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 25 Supplying, Manufacturing and fixingFirst class teak wood forwooden staircases & Column which includes wooden beam, column, runners, board, supports, wooden column, riser and treads etc., including cutting, required carving, planking, jointing, making necessary rebate / grooves for fixing, hoisting, jointing, fixing in position and applying wood preservative over unexposed surface, finishing works, etc., all complete as per specifications and drawings. 26 Supplying, Manufacturing and fixingFirst class teak wood for joists (Karries), rafters, wooden beam, runners, wooden column etc., for lean to roof and madras terrace roofing, including cutting, required carving, planking, jointing, making necessary rebate / grooves for fixing, hoisting, jointing, fixing in position and applying wood preservative over unexposed surface, finishing works, etc., all complete as per specifications and drawings. 27 Supplying, Manufacturing and Fixing First class teak wood frames and architraves for frames of doors, windows, clerestory windows, cupboards, and other frames made out of 50mm thick and below of approved second class teakwood of required sizes fixed including cutting, planking, jointing, making necessary rebate / grooves for fixing door shutter, fixing in masonry with required nos. of 40x5mm flat iron MS holdfasts 200mm long and embedding in cement concrete 1:3:6 or fixed in concrete with necessary screws / fasteners as directed for various sizes of structural openings including applying anti-termite chemical over the surface in contact with masonry / concrete, etc., all complete as per specifications and drawings.[Note: Rate shall be inclusive of providing required holdfasts, embedded in cement concrete, applying chemical and fixing.] 28 Providing and fixing of 35mm thick solid teakwood Panelled door/ window shutters of single / double leaves shutter of frame of size 125x35mm alround except bottom rail of size 250x35mm and lock rail of size 200x35mm with tongue and groove jointed panels of minimum 125mm width equal panels of 25mm thick with 5x3mm groove at front face using second class teakwood including making as per drawing, fixing in structural opening, etc., all as per specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. 29 Supplying, fitting, fixing in position of 5mm thickness plain/grounded glass of Saint Gobain or approved equivalent make for doors, partition, windows, fixed glazing, louvers, etc., including fixing withputty,TW beading, neoprene gasket, etc., all complete as per drawing and specifications. 30 Supplying and fixing factory made approved PVC solid door frame and panelled PVC door shutter with furniture fittings as detailed below as per specification and as directed.i) DOOR Frame The door frame shall be of factory made accucel PVC foam profile solid of size 60x30mm with suitable rebate for shutters (Profile FP-6030). The joints shall be made by SP 5 epoxy seal and fevikwik / solvent as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. ii) DOOR Shutter The door shutter shall be of 28mm thick factory made accucel panelled door using solid PVC frame profile with integral FP-7114 as frame and 3mm thick H.P.L (high pressure compact laminated) as in fill, including the shutter frame shall be reinforced with 39 x 19 x 0.6mm thick GI - Cstiffner alround in between FP - 7114, providing telescopic polymericLcorner at four corners, providing 75 x 38 x 18mm Zinc coated MS - C clamp at lock rail joint, providing FP - 1208 beading alround the HPL infill, the joints shall be made by SP 5epoxy seal and fevikwick, etc., as per manufacturer specification. iii) FITTINGS - The door shutter shall be fixed with the following hardware fittings.a)4 Nos. of 75 mm long stainless steel butt hinges ofGARGbrand bearing ISI mark with suitable stainless steel screws. b) Two numbers of 125mm long anodised aluminium Dhandle of make CLASSIC or approved equivalent as per IS - 208 bearing ISI mark with suitable CP screws.c) Two numbers of 75mm long anodised aluminium baby latch type tower bolt with suitable CP screws. d) One number of 50mm long solid PVC door buffer with 75mm long CP screws. PVC solid door buffer with 75mm x 10mm SS screws and cup washers. 46 Providing and fixing 300mm long plate fixed with three / four prong type anodised aluminium robe hooks of approved make with suitable screws. 47 Providing and fixing Brass hanging type door rubber stoppers of required colour or shade including fixing with necessary screws etc., all complete as per specifications. 48 Twin rubber stopper 49 Providing and fixing Aluminium curtain rod of 25mm aluminium hollow tube with 2mm wall thickness including providing end brackets, fixing over window/openings, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 50 Providing and fixing in position ofUltra Vertibolt XL+ operable by key from outside and by knob from inside of Godrej (1CK - Texture brown) or approved equivalent make with four keys including fixing in door with necessary screws etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. 51 Supplying, fabricating and fixing Steel Grills of required pattern and size for Windows/Ventilators, Staircase Hand Rails, etc., fixed to openings/wooden frames at site, comprising of MS square bars / MS rounds / MS flats, etc., including fixing with necessary wood screws for fixing grills / by welding in steel windows, painting with two coats of anti corrosive paint of approved colour and make over a coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer/ zinc phosphate primer, etc., all completed as per specification.[Note: The rate shall be inclusive of lifting arrangements if any required to hoist and concrete embedments for fixing the steel works.] 52 Supplying, fabricating and fixing of structural brackets of required patten and size wherever required for structural support comprising of MS angle/ square sections/ other sections including cutting, fabricating/ welding the members, chiseling concrete for placing in position and anchorage, drilling holes for fixing anchor bolts in concrete, etc., painting with two coats of anti corrosive paint of approved colour and make over a coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer/ zinc phosphate primer, etc., all completed as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge[Note: The rate shall be inclusive of lifting arrangements if any required to hoist and concrete embedments for fixing the steel works.] 53 Structural Steel 54 Providing and laying of Handmade Athangudi tiles of size 300mm x 300mm or other approved size and approved shade/ pattern laid over 20mm (Average) thick base of cement mortar 1 : 4 (1 cement : 4 sand) and joints treated with cement slurry mixed with colour pigments to match the shade of the tile including providing approved pattern of skirting tiles, cleaning, waxing to give smooth finish, etc., all complete at all levels as per specifications and as direceted by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The tiles shall be got approved by the Engineer before making bulk order. The rates shall be inclusive of providing skirting tiles of approved pattern. 55 Providing and laying Indian Patent Stone flooring of 20mm thick with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 Cement: 2 Coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate) finished with a floating coat of neat Cement using 20/10mm and below size hard broken stones including laying in panels, cement slurry, consolidation, curing, rubbing the surfaces smooth etc., all complete as per specification. 56 Providing and laying 100mm thick base course under the flooring cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 Cement: 2 Coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate) finished with a floating coat of neat Cement using 20/10mm and below size hard broken stones including laying in panels, cement slurry, consolidation, curing, rubbing the surfaces smooth etc., all complete as per specification. 57 Providing and fixing Granite stone in Flooring with 16-18mm thick one side mirror polished granite stone slab of approved shade, colour, size and texture laid over 20mm (average) thick base in cement mortar 1 : 4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) including laying, chamfering, providing grooves where ever required, pointing the joints with approved grouting materials, curing, cleaning, polishing, etc., all completed as per drawings and specification.Note : The Granite stones shall be got approved by the Engineer before making bulk order. The rates for steps shall be inclusive of providing three Nos. of 4mm grooves @ 25mm interval on all the treads from the nosing edge. 58 Ruby red/Pitch black for Flooring 59 Providing and fixing 1st quality Rectified (Jointless) Glazed ceramicwall tiles of approved concept series confirming to IS 15622 of KAJARIA / SOMANY / JOHNSONor other approved make in all colours, shades of following sizes in Skirting, Risers of steps and Dados laid over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1 : 3 (1 Cement : 3 Coarse sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg per Sq.m or by using Cement based high polymer modified quick set tile adhesive (water based) or other approved tile adhesive including providing Motiff tiles, pointing in white cement mixed with pigment of matching shade, curing, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 60 Wall tiles of 300x450 mm or more [KAJARIA (Digital Series) or JOHNSON (Satin &Rustic / Glossy series)] 61 Providing and laying 1st quality Rectified (Jointless) Ceramic floor tiles (Glazed or Anti-skid) of size 300 x 300 mm or more confirming to IS : 15622 of KAJARIA (Approved concept of Digital Series) or SOMANY (Digital Series - Glasstra) or JOHNSON (Approved concept of Satin & Rustic / Glossy series) or other approved make in all colours, shades in Floors laid over 20 mm thick cement mortar 1 : 4 (1 Cement : 4 Coarse sand)jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg per Sq.m or by using Cement based high polymer modified quick set tile adhesive (water based) or other approved tile adhesive including grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc., all complete as per specification. 62 Supplying and fixing of Rigid PVC nosing of approved quality and colour at the corners of Ceramic tiles dadooing including finishing all complete as directed and as per specifications. 63 Providing and fixing white glazed vitreous China half round channel of Neycer or approved equivalent make in suitable length including fixing with CM 1:3 below urinal range in PCC 1:2:4 bedding, pointing the joints with white cement, etc., all completeas directed by Engineer-In-Charge.(Note: Bed concrete will be paid for separately under relevant item) 64 Providing waterproofing treatment on top of the roof using reactive organosilane based water proofing agent that seals upto nano-pore level, Cleaning the roof surface for any fungus, loosely particles, scales, by a stiff wire brush, clean by water wash the entire surface, prepare waterproofing solution in the ratio of one part of Zycosil Plus, Zycoprime two parts and 20 parts of clean water. It penetrates in pores, lime brick jelly surface. Flood the waterproofing mixing Zycosilplus solution on the slab for a period of 12 hours, or till complete saturation of the solution this treatment shall continue along side of the parapet wall up to a height of 300 mm. all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 65 Providing waterproofing treatment on top of the roof slab and vertical wall, The junction between roof slab and vertical wall all around the terrace shall be treated with Acrylic copolymer system waterproofing to resist the water seepages through the junction by Master Emaco SBR 2 or Zycoprime one part cement one part and Fine River sand three part mixing with manually, provide curving size of 100 mm x 100 mm at the junction and curing.. all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 66 Providing and applying three coats of Elastocoat membrane waterproofing on top of the treated roof, prepare solutionby mixing one part of Elastobar, one part of Zycoprime and cement one part add required water to get slurry consistency to workable. Apply by brush. Apply further coats wet on wet. Cure with water sprinkle at least 3 days all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 67 Providing and laying Madras terrace roofing as detailed below as per IS-2119 using locally available well burnt flat bricks in traditional technique with experienced masons in lime mortar including roof shall be laid to true to line and level at all heights and location, all required scaffolding, material, labour, curing etc., all complete as directedby Engineer-in-Charge.Specifications: 1) Joist work: Laying of joist of approved materials. Cost of joist will be paid for separately under relevant item. 2)Terrace brick work: Two layers (brick on edge and flat brick) Bricks of size 150 x 75 x 25mm of class 35 shall be in Lime Mortar of mix 1:1½ (Lime putty: sand, by volume) and the thickness of mortar joint shall not exceed 10mm. curing the brick work for not less than 10 days. 3)Lime Concrete: After terrace brick have set, lime concrete using broken brick aggregate of mix 1: :2½ (Slaked Lime: broken brick aggregate, by volume) shall be laid and spread to an average thickness of 100mm. Initial ramming shall be done with wooden rammer until consolidated to 75mm thickness and followed by wetted hand beating using lime sugar solution or Kadukkai jaggery solution and cured. 4) Finishing: one course of flat clay tiles shall be laid in lime mortar 1:2, 15mmthick. the mortar shall be mixed with SBR @ 0.5 litre/Sqm or as approved. 68 Providing and laying the 20mm thick Mangalore tiles for lean to roof of approved colour, pattern/design and size of make Novacotta or other approved make including laying the tiles from the eaves towards the ridge properly interlocked according to the design of the tile, tile shall be laid over the purlinss, providing necessary eaves board/ eaves gutter/ridge piece with ridge, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 69 Providing and fixing 150mm Square PTMT gratings of Prayag or approved equivalent make over the rain water pipes fixing in CM 1:3 as per specifications. 70 Providing and fixing best quality SWR uPVC pipes - Type A 110mm OD (suitable for ventilation work and rain water applications) conforming to IS: 13592 - latest edition with ISI mark including moulded fittings/specials such as bends, shoes, etc., jointing with seal ring conforming to IS - 5382 leaving 10mm gap for thermal expansion, fixing to the wall with adequate no. of PVC clips for rain water down take pipes etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in charge. 71 Plasteringwall surface with Lime Mortar 1:3 (Lime putty: sand, by volume), 20mm thick over brick masonry surface on internal and External faces at all lifts laid in two layers i.e., base layer of 12mm thick and top layer 8mm thick, including preparation of lime mortar by mxing into homogeneous mixture, mixture shall be rotated at specified interval and allowed for fermentation, mixing of gallnut and jaggery water to the mortar to prepare curd like mortar consistency, scaffolding, curing and forming grooves wherever necessary, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in­charge. 72 Plasteringceiling surface with Lime Mortar 1:1½ (Lime putty: sand, by volume), 12mm thick over brick masonry surface on internal and External area at all liftsincluding preparation of lime mortar by mxing into homogeneous mixture, mixture shall be rotated at specified interval and allowed for fermentation, mixing of gallnut and jaggery water to the mortar to prepare curd like mortar consistency, scaffolding, curing and forming grooves wherever necessary, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in­charge. 73 Treatment to wall cracks on brick masonry wall surface by stitching of cracks using cut stone or RCC slab at all levels including expose the crack by manual cutting, open the crack to required width and depth depending on the wide of crack to ensure percolation of filling material, preparation of surface to remove all friable/loose material,stitching the crack surface using cut stone or RCC slab, filling the gap with lime mortar 1:2 (Lime putty: Sand, by volume), etc.,all complete complying with standard specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Specifications: -1)Preparation of Surface: Deepen the wall cracks, clean and remove the old bricks on either side of the crack. Wash the cracks with water to remove debris and dust. Again wash well the cracks area with gallnut and jaggery water to romove dust, fungi and to act as adhesive further treatment.2)Stitching the crack: Stictch the cracks using cut stone or RCC slab of 400x200x50mm fixed at minimum 600mm c/c from bottom to top using LM 1:2. Filling the cracks and gap to brig to to true line, level and shape to match to existing wall surface,. Pressure grouting can also be done instead of pouring lime mortor to fill the gaps. 74 Pointing the exposed brick wall surface after chipping of old plastering in damaged wall portion with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two sand) mixed with approved polymer 2.5Ltr per 50Kgs of lime including preparation of surface by raking out all loose, powdery & decayed lime mortar joints untill sound mortar is reaced or atleast thickness of joint, cleaning the joints using brush & low pressure waterjets, water spray the wall surface for cleaning the surface free from dust/ loose materials, pointing the joints using required tools, finishing the surface to receive further treatment on wall, curing, etc., all complete complying with standard specification all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 75 Providing Raised Lime Mortar bands with plain lime mortar 1:2 for elevational purpose over parapet, sunshade, RCC drop, etc., at all levels including hacking pock marking of concrete surfaces with pointed tool, scaffolding, curing and forming grooves wherever necessary, etc., all complete as per drawing & specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.(Note : Rate shall be quoted for 1 mtr long. Length will be measured in running metres, width of the band will be measured in CM and the quantity shall be calculated in metre-cm units)all complete complying with standard specification all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 76 Size upto150 mm wide and 50 mm average thickness 77 Size 150mm to 300 mm wide and 50 mm average thickness 78 Patch work over existing deteriorated brick work at all levels including removing the damaged bricks (50-75mm deep), cleaning the surface to remove loose particles, reconstruction the same in removed average thickness in lime mortar 1:3 (one lime two sand) using approved bricks with providing proper key to the adjoining structure, racking the joints, curing, cleaning, clearing debris and carting away from the site, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed byEngineer-in-charge. 79 Painting, Polishinginhighgloss/mattfinishmelamineclearpolishonwoodworkin required color/wooden shade texture with following processinthe sequence asdetailedbelow:1.Thesurfacetobepolishedisrubbedwithsandpaper 80/120 no. and then with sand paper of 160/180 nos. 2. Applying two coats of sealer with spray gun and allowing sufficient drying time for 1st coat and 2nd coat is allowed to dry for 8 to 12 hrs. 3. On drying of sealer coat, wet rubbing withemeryclothof finergradingwithamplewaterto removeexcesssealer layer and make the surface further smooth after this wet rubbing, then surface isappliedwithspecialgrademelaminefillerstofillallthesmallandbig holes/grooves etc. Filler coat to be allowed to dry for 4 to 6 hrs on which again a light wet rubbing is done this surface is further allowed to dry for 12 hrs. 4. On this, 1st coat of melamine polish is applied with spray gun using melamine clearpolishandmelaminethinnerinrequiredproportion.This1stcoatis allowed to drysuch works. this dry surface is again fine wet rubbed smooth, which is further allowed to dry for 12 hrs. The final melamine polish is applied with compressor pressure spray gun using melamine clear polish and melaminethinner mixedinrequiredproportion completeasperdirection of Engineer‐in‐Charge. Final coat to be done in 1 or 2 layers without gap of time. Note:(Areaofornamentedbeamsoffitinthelivinghallandthewooden staircase are also included) 80 Painting for wood work with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and make over a coat of primer over new wood work suitably prepared for receiving the primer and paint by scraping, rubbing, applying wood filler, wood putty, making surface smooth, etc., as per specifications. 81 Providing oil type wood preservative over natural wood by renewing the wooden rafters and beams retrived from the dismantled madras terrace roof that can be reused in the new Madras Terrace roof including making good the surface by removing the nails if any, cleaning the surface, cutting to required length if required, applying painting with oil type wood preservative, finishing the surface, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge 82 Painting over all exposed surfaces at all heights over rough cast plaster / plain plaster with Two Coat of high performance luxury exterior emulsion paint ofmake Asian (APEX - Ultima Protek) / Berger (Weather coat Long Life 10)or other approved equivalent make of approved shade over a coat of exterior wall primer of make Asian (Smartcare Damp Sheath Exterior primer) / Berger (HS Dampstop Elasto) or other approved equivalent make including preparation of surfaces, filling the cracks with approved crack filler, cost of all materials, labour, tools and plants, curing, etc., all complete as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note:- 1) The samples should be got approved by the EIC before placing bulk order.2) Preparation of surface:-Preparing the surface by cleaning with high pressure water jet/ wire brush to ensure the surface free from dust, oil, grease, loose particles, micro biological growth etc., Small cracks upto 10mm shall be cleaned and filled with approved crack seal. Holes, damp area, unsounded substructure etc., should be repaired properly. 3) The contractor should give warranty for the finishes for a period not less than 10 years as specified in tender conditions from the date of completion of the work. 4)Tripartite Guarantee agreement between Department, Contractor and Manufacturere for 10 years period shall be submitted by the contractor in the approved format.5) 50% (Fifty percent) of security deposit will be retained as performance security for the guarantee period and the same will be released after successful completion of the guarantee period i.e., after Ten years to be reckoned from the date after the defect liability period prescribed in the contract.6) Cost of scaffolding and repairing the substructure excluding crack filling will be paid for separately under relevant item. 83 Painting all internal faces of walls / plastered surfaces with two coats of premium Acrylic Emulsion paint of makeAsian (Apcolite) / Berger (Rangoli) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade over a coat of interior wall primer of make Asian (Professional) / Berger (BP Primer) or other approved equivalent make including preparation of surfaces, applying approved make wall care putty as per manufacturer specification, making surface smooth without porous, sanding the surface, applying the primer coat, scaffolding,etc., all complete at all lifts as per specifications. 84 Painting all internal faces of walls / plastered surfaces/ceiling with two coats ofAcrylic Emulsion paint of make Asian (Tractor) / Berger (Bison)or other approved equivalent make of approved shade over a coat of interior wall primer of make Asian (Professional) / Berger (BP Primer) or other approved equivalent make including preparation of surfaces by applying the primer coat, scaffolding etc., all complete at all lifts as per specifications. 85 Clean all wooden columns in the courtyard and thinnai by scrapping with sandpaper. The work shall be done without any vibration and without structural disturbing to structure etc., complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 137 Carefully removing and dismantling Mangalore tile roof at varandah with battens, boarding at all levels as directed, segregate reusable wooden rafters, any wood usable while dismantling including lowering, stacking and disposal of debris within 100mtrs lead, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 138 Dismantling Reinforced cement concrete at all lifts including clearing and depositing the same with a distance of 100 metres as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 139 Dismantlingsteelworkinbuilt upsectionsinangles,tees, flats, beams, columns and channels includingallgussetplates,bolts,nuts,cuttingrivets,weldingetc.including dismembering and stacking within 100 metres lead all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 140 Dismantling doors, windows, Ventilator & MS Grill at all lifts including removal of frames, hinges, other fittings and also stacking the same at places, by manually using of small chiel and hammer allcomplete etc., all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 141 Area 3.00 Sq.m & Below 142 Area Beyond 3.00 Sq.m 143 Dismantling cement concrete flooring, stone top flooring/ mosaic flooring at all lifts depth upto 150mm, including clearing and depositing the same with a distance of 100 metres as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 144 Dismantling of old plastering / skirting including raking out the joints manually using of small chiel and hammer, cleaning the surface for plastering, disposal of debris within a initial lead of 50m, etc., allcomplete, all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 145 Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places, lead upto 1 Km as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directedby the Engineer-in-Charge.Note: 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements.2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.
