Tender For Conservation And Repairs Of Shree Karveer Niwasini Ambabai Mahalaxmi Temple, Kolhapur- 1 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. Note:- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works. 2 Removing brick bat coba including stacking the spoils as directed with all leads, lifts etc, complete. 3 Removing cement tiles, ormarble or polished shahabad floor or dadowithout bed concrete including stacking the materials as directed with all leads, lifts etc. complete 4 Removing lime or lean cement concrete including stacking the spoils as directed with all leads, lifts etc, complete. 5 Dismantling brick masonry in lime or cement mortar and stacking the materils as directed with all leads, lifts etc. 6 Dismantling the R.C.C. Work 1:2:4 and sorting out the materials such as steel etc. as directed and stacking them within the specified lead as directed etc. complete. 7 Lowering down carefully existing stone masonry of the monument manually in proper order including shifting the stone elements up to a distance of 50 meter beyond the monument area and stacking them as directed by Engineer in-charge, removing building rubbish and cleaning the site etc. complete. 8 Removing rich mix cement concrete including stacking the spoils as directed with all leads, lifts etc, complete. 9 Removing the existing cement plaster of any thickness without causing dust nuisance and stacking the debris upto a distance of 50 metres or spreading in the compound and cleaning the site etc. complete. 10 Raking out joints in lime or cement mortar and preparing the surface for re-pointing or replastering including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead. 11 Removing doors and windows with frames and stacking the materials as directed with all leads, lifts etc. complete. 12 Removing ventilators and small windows with frame and stacking the materials with all leads, lifts etc. complete. 13 Removing W.C. pans including disconnecting the sanitary and water supply connections, removing and breaking flooring and bed con-crete around pan removing the same carefully and stacking the serviceable materials as adn where directed including throwing the unserviceable materiasls out side etc. carefully and throwing out the refusal outside etc. complete. 14 Removal of plants / ficus grown by pulling out root system embedded in masnory,cutting stem and application of high/gur/lime formulation as specified by the Architect or other patented chemical biocide treatment such as biocide Glycel (iso proplamine salt of glyphosate) or other chemical as specified by the Engineer in charge etc. complete. 15 Removing other type truss below 5 metres span from roof and stacking the materials as directed with all leads and lifts etc. complets 16 Removing G.I. or A.C. sheet roofing including purlins, principal rafters etc. including sorting serviceable and unserviceable materials, stacking the same as and where directed in the compound including scaffolding etc. complete. 17 Removing wire fencing with iron/ C.C. fencing post and stacking the materials as directed with all leads, lifts etc. complete. 18 Removing iron pipe raling having wooden R.C.C. or C.C. or iron post and stacking the materials as directed etc. complete. 19 Removing earthen, stonewate pipe and stacking them as directed with all leads, lifts etc. complete. 20 Dismantling the existing light, fan, bell, clock, independent plug point, wiring including circuit mains of all types along with accessories etc. complete as per specification No: WG-DM/PW 21 Excavation for foundation in earth, soil of all types, sand, gravel and soft murum, including removing the excavated material upto a distance of 50m. beyond the building area and stacking and spreading as directed, dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling, ramming, watering including shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift upto 0.00 to 1.50 m.) By Manual Means 22 Excavation for foundation in hard murum including removing the excavated material upto distance of 50 metres beyond the building area and stacking and spreading as directed, dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling, ramming, watering including shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift upto 1.50m) By Manual Means 23 Excavation for foundation in hard murum including removing the excavated material upto a distance of 50 metres beyond the building area and stacking and spreading as directed, dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling, ramming, watering including shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift from 1.5 to 3.0m) By Manual Means 24 Excavation for foundation in Soft rock and old cement or lime masonry foundations including removing the excavated material upto a distance of 50 metres beyond the building area and stacking as directed, including dewatering, preparing the bed for the foundation and necessary back filling with available earth/murum, ramming ,wateringincluding shoring and strutting etc. complete. (Lift from 1.5m To 3.0 m.) By Mechanical Means 25 Removal of telephone / Electric poles including excavation and dismantling of foundation concrete and lines under the supervision of concerned department, disposal with all lifts and up to a lead of 1000 metres and stacking the serviceable and unserviceable material separately 26 Conveying the excavated materials, debris of brick or stone masonary, R.C.C. slab, water proofing, stone members/ materials, cement/ lime concrete, tiles/ marbles/ stone slab/ brick bat coba, etc. upto 15 km. away from the site and cleaning the site properly. 27 Providing dry/ trap/ granite/ quartzite/ gneiss rubble stone soling 15 cm to 20 cm thick including hand packing and compacting etc. complete. 28 Providing and laying cast in situ 1:2:4 Lime Concrete of trap/ granite/ quartzite/ gneiss metal for foundation and bedding as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including bailing out water, centring, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing if required with fine aggregate, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller and then mixing with coursed aggregate in drum mixer as per specifications including bailing out water, watering etc. complete. 29 Filling in plinth and floors with approved excavated material in 15cm. to 20cm. Layers including watering and compacting etc. complete. 30 Providing Soil Bag Support to the monument with contractor´s soil in proper layers carefully as directed by Engineer in-charge including filling, tying and conveying the bags, removing the soil bags after work up to a distance of 50 meter beyond the monument area and cleaning the site etc. complete. 31 Providing and applying a Silicon Base Water Repellent Stone Sealers, on Brick / Stone masonry / Concrete surfaces in Two coats by spraying. Including cleaning / sand blasting for removing dirt / cement mortar patches etc. by force water jet, wire brushing etc. complete. 32 Providing injection grouting with a slurryof Lime and fine screened sand in proporting 1:1 with a proper pressurized jet pump, including cleaning, washinng and packing the existing cracks or holes in the brick or stone masonry properly upwards with the slurry, scaffolding, curing etc. complete. 33 Providing and laying cast in situ 1:1:4 Lime Concrete of broken brick metal for coping or waterproofing as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including centring, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing if required, with fine aggregate, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller and then mixing with coursed aggregate or surkhi in drum mixer, the concrete must be bitten for two days with pouring water as per specifications, scaffolding, watering and all concrete work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains, etc. complete. 34 Providing 10 mm. thick Rough Cast Lime Plaster in single coat in lime mortar 1:1 in superstructure, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all joints in masonry and brick work are to be racked out to a depth of at least 20 mm. and the wall to be washed with fresh water and thoroughly wetted for six hours before plastering, the plaster to be applied in an even and uniform coat well pressed in to the joints and to be well beaten for 1½ days with hand tappers, the plaster should also be well sprinkle during the proses of beating with a mixture of 1.10 kg Jaggary and 640 gram pulp of wood apple (Belfruit) in 90 to 135 litre of water, the plaster being wetted occasionally with fresh water while the beating is in progress, all exposed angles and junctions with door frame to be carefully finished, all mouldings shall be worked true to template and drawn neat, clean and level, soffits of arches must true arch of circle, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller with 1.60 kg Gugal (a kind of fragrant gum) and 960 gram chopped hemp (fibre of bhendi or jute) per cubic metre of lime mortar as a bonding material, of lime as a bonding material, scaffolding, watering and all work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 35 Providing 12 mm. thick Rough Cast Lime Plaster in single coat in lime mortar 1½:1 in superstructure, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all joints in masonry and brick work are to be racked out to a depth of at least 20 mm. and the wall to be washed with fresh water and thoroughly wetted for six hours before plastering, the plaster to be applied in an even and uniform coat well pressed in to the joints and to be well beaten for 1½ days with hand tappers, the plaster should also be well sprinkle during the proses of beating with a mixture of 1.10 kg jaggary and 640 gram pulp of wood apple (Belfruit) in 90 to 135 litre of water, the plaster being wetted occasionally with fresh water while the beating is in progress, all exposed angles and junctions with door frame to be carefully finished, all mouldings shall be worked true to template and drawn neat, clean and level, soffits of arches must true arch of circle, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller with 1.60 kg Gugal (a kind of fragrant gum) and 960 gram chopped hemp (fibre of bhendi or tag ) per cubic metre of lime mortar as a bonding material, of lime as a bonding material, scaffolding, watering and all work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 36 Stucco work in Lime, Surkhi and Sand (1:1:1) as per traditional practices and design, the mortar should be prepared by grinnding mill only. The thickness varies from 10mm to 100mm as per design. 37 Providing and applying Integral fine coat, with addition of colour pigments, as paint to the plain lime stucco plaster in 2 layers, including scaffolding, curing, all leads and lifts, etc. complete. 1) The first coat to be laid is a mixture of fine lime and white washing lime in proportion of 2:1, made smooth with wooden rubbers and very lightly beaten. 2) The finishing coat consisting of fine lime, white washing lime, mixed with the appropriate pigment in 1:2:1 proportion is to be applied and well polished with trowels. 38 Crack Stitching 8mm Helibar Providing and fixing of Helifix Hi-fin reinforcement Helibars of 8mm dia, single bar in one slot, MOC Austenitic stainless steel, ASTM 304, having cross section area of 10.5sqmm, pitch 38/40, with ultimate tensile strength not less than 1370 N/sqmm, shear strength 7.2kN, along with Helibond Grout, a special cementitious grout with low expansion, non gassing and injectable with exceptional non shrink thixotropic properties having compressive strength at 28 days of not less than 45 N/sqmm. Including chasing of slot in mortar bed upto a depth of 40mm for HeliBars, cleaning the dust and debris from the slot, making damp with water to achieve good bonding of HeliBar with HeliBond grout in the groove of brick/stone masonry ensuring that it remains tight at the joint after curing, including all tools, tackles and equipments using specified machines, excluding Staging & Scaffolding, at various places where there is crack in brick/ stone/ block masonry as directed by structural engineer in charge/ Helifix 39 Creating HeliBeam (A structural barrier between the strucutrual crack) using two 6mm Helibars Providing and fixing of Helifix Hi-fin reinforcement Helibars of 6mm dia, two bars in one slot, MOC Austenitic stainless steel, ASTM 304, having cross section area of 8sqmm, pitch 29/30, with ultimate tensile strength not less than 980 N/sqmm, shear strength 5.5 kN of single bar, along with Helibond grout, a special cementitious grout with low expansion, non gassing and injectable with exceptional non shrink thixotropic properties having compressive strength at 28 days of not less than 45 N/sqmm. Including chasing of slot in mortar bed upto a depth of 50mm for HeliBars, cleaning the dust and debris from the slot, making damp with water to achieve good bonding of HeliBar with HeliBond grout in the groove of brick/stone masonry ensuring that it remains tight at the joint after curing, including all tools, tackles and equipments using specified machines, excluding Staging & Scaffolding, at various places where there is crack in brick/ stone/ block masonry as directed by structural engineer in charge/ Helifix. 40 Pinning with cemTie 8mm (SS 304) Providing and fixing of Helifix Hi-Fin reinforcement Helical pins / CemTies of 8mm dia. and specified length into a predrilled hole of not more than 18mm dia. MOC Austenitic Stainless Steel ASTM-304. having cross-section area of 10.5sqmm having helical pitch of 38/48 with ultimate tensile strength not less than 1370N/sqmm along with Helibond grout, a special cementitious grout with low expansion, non gassing and injectable with non shrink thixotropic properties having compressive strength at 28 days of minimum 45N/sqmm and specified length along with Helibond grout. Including drilling of holes for CemTies upto 15 mm more than the specified depth, cleaning the dust and debris from the hole and making damp with water ensuring to achieve good bonding of CemTie with HeliBond in the holes of masonry ensuring that it remains tight after curing, at locations as per instructions provided by structural Engineer in charge/ Helifix, including all tools tackles and equipments using specified machines, excluding Staging & Scaffolding. 41 CrackBond TE 250 Providing & fixing of CrackBond TE 250ml an injectable special purpose non shrink thixotropic epoxy resin with the help of manual pressure applicator and nozzle, including opening of crack, cleaning and ensuring sealing of cracks of 2mm - 12mm width upto a maximum depth of 150mm. 42 Polyplus SF Providing and filling of general purpose styrene free resin with the help of manual pressure applicator and nozzle, to be used foranchoring helical bars wherever needed/ specified by structural engineerin charge/ Helifix 43 Providing Un-coursed Rubble Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1½, in foundation and plinth/ Superstructure as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones to be set in the work as received from the quarry, after merely knocking off weak corners and edges with the masons hammer, the stones shall be carefully laid so as to break joints, no joint shall exceed 12.5 mm. (½″) in thickness, every stone shall be set flush in mortar, the face stone shall be for greater size, and good beds, one through stone shall be inserted at least every 0.80 sq. mete (1 square yard),the joints shall be racked out carefully at least 25 mm. (1″) where pointing or plastering to be done, striking joints where no pointing or plastering is to be done, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, bailing out water, watering and all exposed masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 44 Providing Ashlar Fine Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1 with size of stone 70 cm. x 70 cm. x 30 cm. in plinth as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind, dressing every stones fine tooled on all beds, joints and faces, full true if the surface are plane or to uniform curves or twists if required, the stones shall be set in fine mortar, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course not less than 30 cm. (12″) in height averaging 4½ c. ft., the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, bailing out water, watering and all masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 45 Providing/Re-setting Ashlar Fine Masonry of reuse-stones in lime mortar 1:1 in superstructure asperdetailedspecificationsanddrawings oras directed including the stonesshallbesetin fine mortar, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course, the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, scaffolding, wateringandall masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 46 Providing Ashlar Fine Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1 with size of stone 60 cm. x 45 cm. x 23 cm. in superstructure as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind, dressing every stones fine tooled on all beds, joints and faces, full true if the surface are plane or to uniform curves or twists if required, the stones shall be set in fine mortar, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course not less than 30 cm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course not less than 30 cm. (12″) in height averaging 4½ c. ft., the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, scaffolding, watering and all masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 49 Providing Ashlar Rough-tooled Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1½ with size of stone is 60 cm. x 45 cm. x 23 cm. in plinth as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind, the faces exposed to view shall have fine dressed chisel draft, 25 mm. (1″) wide all around the edges and rough tooled between the drafts, and on all beds or joints, which shall not exceed 6 mm. (¼″), the stones shall be set in mortar, the stone shall be laid in regular course not less than 30 cm. (12″) in height averaging 4½ c. ft., the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, bailing out water, watering and all masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 50 Providing Ashlar Arching of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1, with size of stone 60cm. x. 45 cm. x 30 cm. as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the arch stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind, the arch stones in all cases of the entire thickness, the arch stones shall be dressed full and true to their proper shapes with the necessary summering, twist or winding and be set in fine mortar, the intrados, joints and beds to fair- tooled and left full, the cast or keying course to be accurately fitted, at all horizontal joints theintrados to have a 2 cm. (¾″) chamfer, the face stone may be tooled or rock-faced with or without chamfer as directed, in arches up to 60 cm. (2ꞌ) in depth all stones shall be of the full thickness of the ring, arches to be built on proper centring, the bed joints shall be radial and the side joints shall be at right angles to the bed joints and the thickness of the joints shall not exceed 5 mm. (3/16″) preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, cantering/scaffolding, watering and all arch work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 51 Providing Block In Course Masonry of trap / granite stones in lime mortar 1:1½ with size of stone 60 cm. x 40 cm. x 21 Cm. in superstructure for steps as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the stones be of approved quality, colour, hard and free from defect of any kind, the face of stones shall be rough-tooled, rustic (with or without chisel draft, except at quoins), or chamfered as specified, the beds and joints of all ashlar stones to be dressed perfectly true, square and full, headers shall not be less in length than breadth of ashlar stone plus 45 cm. (1ꞌ6″), the stones shall be set in mortar, the beds or joints being in no case more than 3 mm. (⅛″), the stone shall be laid in regular course not less than 17.5 cm. (7″) in height, the face stone shall be laid header and stretcher alternately, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, scaffolding, watering and all masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 52 Providing Brick Masonry First Class in superstructure of first quality bricks of size 9″ x 4½″ x 2½″ in lime mortar 1:1½, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the bricks to be of uniform size, moulded on tables, thoroughly well burnt and sound, ringing clearly when stuck with trowel, the bricks to be soaked in water for 12 hours before used, the bricks are to be laid flush in mortar in such bond as directed, as far as possible, bricks of uniform colour are to be selected for the face work when it is not to be plastered, the joints are not to exceed 9.5 mm. (⅜″),no bats or half brick to be used in the work, racking out joints where pointing or plastering to be done, striking joints where no pointing or plastering is to be done, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, scaffolding, watering and all masonry work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 53 Re-setting Stone Paving, First Sort of reuse-stones in lime mortar 1:1, as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including the joints running true, the stones to be laid with joints not exceeding 6 mm. (¼″) thick and to be evenly and firmly bedded flush in mortar on the concrete and no hollow left, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, watering and all paving work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 54 Providing and fixing Stone Paving, First Sort in lime mortar 1:1, with size of stone 60 cm. x 45 cm. x 15 cm., as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all stone slabs to of approved quality, hard, even, sound, durable and uniform thickness, the stones to be very finely chisel-dressed on the surface and the course to be of prescribed width, the joints running true, the stones to be laid with joints not exceeding 6 mm. (¼″) thick and to be evenly and firmly bedded flush in mortar on the concrete and no hollow left, side to be dressed true and as per shape at least half the depth from the face, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, watering and all paving work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stains etc. complete. 55 Providing and fixing Stone Paving, Second Sort in lime mortar 1:1, with size of stone 60 cm. x 45 cm. x 15 cm., as per detailed specifications and drawings or as directed including all stone slabs to of approved quality, hard, even, sound, durable and uniform thickness, the stones to be not finely chisel-dressed on the surface and the course to be of prescribed width, true for top 25 mm. (1″), the joints running true, the stones to be laid with joints not exceeding 8 mm. (5/16″) thick and to be evenly and firmly bedded flush in mortar on the concrete and no hollow left, side to be dressed true and as per shape at least half the depth from the face, preparing the lime mortar in lime miller, watering and all paving work when handed over to be perfectly clean and free from all mortar stainsetc. complete. 56 Making of moulding grooving/ chamfering on the surface of the formed stone member, as per given design or drawing, by an expert, artisan craftsman, including light sand papering of the finished member if required. 57 Making of Carving or relief architectural carving on the surface of the formed stone member, as per given design or drawing, by an expert, artisan craftsman, including light sand papering of the finished member if required. 58 Drilling with core cutting machine in RCC slabs, walls, stones etc.wherever required in buildings, manholes,ducts, water tanks, pits etc. for laying pipes,sleeves and making good the same to give an even finish. The rate shall include the cost of drilling core, providing EPOXY based water proofing compound for sealing the joints around the pipes, nominal reinforcement wherever required,scaffolding and labour charges for working at all levels ,leads and heights.
