Tender For Addition/ Alteration And Special Repair To Roof Treatment Of Sma Quaters (P-32, P-33, P-34 And P-76) At Kadamba Vanam Naval Base Karwar; 1 Dismantling single-layer Mangalore pattern or similar roofing tiles, complete all as specified and directed. 2 M&L for Mangalore pattern roof tiles, class ‘AA’, interlocking at side joints, laid dry, complete all as specified and directed. 3 All as per Item No. 2 above, but except tiles. 4 M&L for ridge or hip tiles to suit Mangalore pattern roofing, bedded and jointed in cement mortar 1:6, complete all as specified and directed. 5 Demolition of cement concrete of any description, in any position, complete all as specified and directed. 6 M&L for plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-0 , using 12.5mm graded aggregate, as in roof kerbs, paddings, mud stops or tile bedding, chamfered at edges, complete all as specified and directed. 7 Dismantling/taking out existing textile coverings including frames (if any), hessian base felt, or any other waterproofing treatment from roof, including removal of cement plaster and exposing top surface of RCC slab, removing dismantled materials, complete all as specified and directed. 8 M&L for providing 15mm thick rendering over roof slab in cement mortar 1:4 mixed with water proofing compound at the rate as per manufacturers instructions finished even and smooth surface without using extra cement all as specified and directed.Note:- WPC shall be measured and paid seperately. 9 M&L for water proofing treatment by applying oil bound bitumen primer, having a density of 0.87 - 0.89 Kg/lit, @ 0.40 ltrs/Sqm, providing and laying not less than 3mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane weighting not les than 3.60 Kg/Sqm of approved make including minimum 10 cm side lap and 15 cm end lap, laid and pasted with blue flame torching applications and finally finishing with two coats of solar reflective bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.1.Kg/Sqm all as specified and directed.Note:- The entire job shall be done through authorised applicator of approved make only. 10 M&L for waterproofing treatment by preparing new/old plastered or concrete surface including complete removal of existing treatment, filling cracks with manufacturer’s recommended crack filler, applying one coat of respective primer @ 0.125 litres per Sqm and two coats of waterproof coating system (Shalicryl-215 of STP Ltd / Raincoat-601 of Dr. Fixit / Barrier Coat of Araldite) each coat applied @ 0.155 litres per Sqm, complete all as specified and directed.Note:- The entire job shall be done through authorised applicator of approved make only. 11 Supply only integral waterproofing compound, complete all as specified and directed. 12 Taking down cement plaster on brick or concrete surfaces of walls/ceilings of any description, including racking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, and removing rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Quoted rate shall be deemed to include necessary scaffolding and formwork. 13 M&L for rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on fair faces of concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, mixed with water proofing compound at the rate as per manufacturers instructions finished even and smooth surface without using extra cement all as specified and directed.Note:- WPC shall be measured and paid seperately. 14 Finishing walls with acrylic smooth exterior paint of required shade: two coats @ 1.67 litre per 10 Sqm over and including a priming coat of exterior primer @ 2.20 Kg per 10 Sqm on newly plastered surfaces, complete all as specified and directed. 15 Taking up or down steel tubing with connections, 25 mm bore, complete all as specified and directed. 16 Taking up or down galvanised iron tubing with connections, 32 mm bore, complete all as specified and directed. 17 S&F UPVC pipes, 25 mm bore, pressure rating 10 Kgf/cm², fixed complete to walls, ceilings or in floors, all as specified and directed. 18 S&F UPVC pipes, 32 mm bore, pressure rating 10 Kgf/cm², fixed complete to walls, ceilings or in floors, all as specified and directed. 19 Taking down eaves gutters and rainwater pipes (any size or pattern), including fittings such as heads, shoes, bends, swan-necks, etc., complete all as specified and directed. 20 M&L for PVC (SWR) pipes, 110 mm bore, single socketed, any length, fixed to wall with rubber ring joints, complete all as specified and directed. 21 S&F PVC (SWR) bend, 100 mm dia, fixed in position, complete all as specified and directed. 22 S&F PVC (SWR) bends, 100 mm bore, of any radius, provided with access door, complete all as specified and directed. 23 Dismantling PVC/RCC water storage tanks of capacity exceeding 500 litres but not exceeding 1000 litres, including removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed. 24 S&F rotational moulded PVC triple-layered water storage tank, capacity 1000 litres, cylindrical vertical with closed top, ISI marked, hoisted and fixed in position, including all fittings and fixtures required for proper connection, complete all as specified and directed. 25 S&F in repair 25mm dia ball valve, high-pressure type, PTMT with epoxy-coated aluminium rod and high-density plastic ball, ISI marked (minimum weight - 455 gms), screwed and suitable for 25 mm bore iron pipe, complete all as specified and directed. 26 Draining out water, cleaning and removing accumulated sludge/dirt/scales from tank bottom, sides and mouths of circulating pipes of service tank of capacity exceeding 500 litres but not exceeding 1000 litres, located on roof of building, disinfecting the tank using bleaching powder to make it bacteria-free, and writing by stencil the date of cleaning with white synthetic enamel paint on black ground “CLEANED ON (DATE)” with letters of 100mm high, complete all as specified and directed. 27 M&L for complete removal of existing painted surfaces of walls/ceilings, including brooming down or steel wire brushing, scrapping down smoke soot, moulds, moss, efflorescent salts, oil and greasy spots, etc., preparing surfaces and applying 1mm thick wall care putty on old plastered surfaces, finished with two coats of acrylic washable distemper, complete all as specified and directed. 28 M&L for preparation of old painted plastered surfaces of walls/ceilings of any description, including cornices, filling cracks with exterior wall care putty, and applying one coat of weatherproof exterior emulsion paint of approved shade, including necessary scaffolding and safety measures, complete all as specified and directed.
