Tender For Periodical Services To Sect B At Patiala Under Ge (South) Patiala; 1 Notes: (i) Please refer Schedule A Notes of tender documents. 2 External Finishing WorksTaking down cement plaster of any description, any thickness from external surfaces of walls/soffits etc. incl raking out joints, hacking for keys, scrubbibg down with water etc complete all as specified and directed. 3 M&L for cement plastering 15mm thick in cemet mortar 1:4 including mixing of liquid water proofing compound as per manufacturers instructions on brick work or concrete surfaces or in chajjas/parapet walls etc finished even and fair without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.Note : WPC will be measured and paid separately. 4 Supply only integral liquid water proofing compound complete all as specified and directed. 5 M&L for complete removal of existing treatment of any type/description from walls/RCC surfaces/ceiling/chajjas/roof projections etc with mechanical means/grinder complete all as specified and directed. 6 M&L for applying cement based thick wall care putty on external surfaces of walls/ceilings/soffits (thickness vary from 1.5 to 2.5 mm as required for desired smoothness and levelling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made wall care putty including sand papering after filling the putty to make surface smooth and ready for receiving painting etc complete all as specified and directed.Notes : (i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further finishes. Please note that the further finishes work will start only after approval of the prepared surface from the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge through site order. 7 M&L for Preparation of surfaces and applying 02 coats of exterior emulsion paint (light shade) with highlighter of any approved shade,@ 5 sq.m/litre/2 coats by using roller to external walls/RCC surfaces/soffits of chajjas/roof projections/cantilevers/balcony etc surfaces over & including a coat of exterior wall primer @ 11 sq.m/litre/1 coat as recommended for under coat by manufacturer of exterior emulsion by using following brands of emulsion and primer complete all as specified and directed. 8 M&L for Preparation of existing surfaces and applying 01 coats of exterior emulsion paint (light shade) with highlighter of any existing shade,@ 10 sq.m/litre/1 coats by using roller to external walls/RCC surfaces/soffits of chajjas/roof projections/cantilevers/balcony etc surfaces by using following brands of emulsion complete all as specified and directed. 9 M&L for preparation of surfaces of external walls/RCC surfaces/soffits of chajjas/roof projections/cantilevers/balcony etc and applying two coat of cement base paint with highlighter of any approved shade @ 5 sq.m/kg/1 coat or as recommended by the manufacturer of cement based paint by using following brands of cement based paint using brush or roller complete all as specified & as directed. 10 M&L for preparation of surfaces of external walls/RCC surfaces/soffits of chajjas/roof projections/cantilevers/balcony etc and applying one coat of cement base paint with highlighter of any existing shade, @ 5 sq.m/kg/1 coat by using following brands of cement based paint and primer by brush or roller complete all as specified & as directed. 11 Internal Finishing WorksTaking down cement plaster of any description, any thickness from internal surfaces of walls/soffits/ceilings etc. incl raking out joints, hacking for keys, scrubbibg down with water etc complete all as specified and directed. 12 M&L for 10mm thick cement plastering in cement mortar 1:6 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. 13 M&L for 5 mm thick cement plastering in cement mortar 1:3 on fair faces of concrete ceiling surfaces finished fair & even without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. 14 M&L for complete removal of existing treatment of any type/description from walls/RCC surfaces/ceiling/chajjas/roof projections etc with mechanical means/grinder complete all as specified and directed. 15 M&L for applying acrylic thick wall care putty on internal surfaces of walls/ceilings (thickness vary from 1.5 to 2.5 mm as required for desired smoothness and levelling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made wall care putty including sand papering after filling the putty to make surface smooth and ready for receiving exterior painting complete all as specified and directed.Notes : (i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further external finishes. Please note that the further external finishes work will start only after approval of the prepared surface from the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge through site order. 16 M&L for Preparation of surfaces and applying 02 coats of interior emulsion paint (light shade) @ 10 sq.m/litre/2 coats by using roller/brush to wall surfaces over & including a coat of interior wall primer @ 10 sq.m/litre/1 coat as recommended for under coat by manufacturer of interior emulsion by using following brands of emulsion and primer complete all as specified and directed. 17 M&L for Preparation of surfaces and applying 02 coats of interior emulsion paint (white shade) @ 10 sq.m/litre/2 coats to ceilings surfaces over & including a coat of interior primer @ 10 sq.m/litre/1 coat as recommended for under coat by manufacturer of interior emulsion by using following brands of emulsion and primer complete all as specified and directed. 18 M&L for preparation of existing treated surfaces on walls/ceilings and applying 01 coat of interior emulsion paint (light shade) @ 20 sq.m/litre/1 coat by using roller to wall/ceiling surfaces including filling wall putty in depressions, sand papering etc and making the surface smooth by using following brands of emulsion complete all as specified and directed. 19 M&L for Preparation of surfaces and applying 02 coats of Oil Bond/ Acrylic Distemper to wall surfaces over & including a coat of interior wall primer as recommended for under coat by manufacturer of OBD by using following brands of emulsion and primer complete all as specified and directed. 20 M&L for preparation of existing treated surfaces on walls/ceilings and applying 01 coat of Oil Bond Distemper/ Acrylic Distemper by using roller to wall/ceiling surfaces including filling wall putty in depressions, sand papering etc and making the surface smooth by using following brands of emulsion complete all as specified and directed. 21 M&L for preparing new plastered surfaces of walls and applying three coats of white wash by making the lime slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub-resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the last two coats of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use complete all as specified. 22 M&L for preparing new plastered surfaces of ceilings and applying three coats of white wash by making the lime slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use complete all as specified and as directed. 25 S/E PAINTING ON STEEL SURFACESM&L for complete removal of existing treatment, preparing steel and iron surfaces of any description/section/trusses/purlins/gates/windows/fencing post/grills/ rolling shutters/ door frames etc, and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed. 26 M&L for preparing old painted steel and iron surfaces of any description/section/trusses/purlins/gates/windows/fencing post/grills/ rolling shutters/door frames etc, and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed. 27 S/E PAINTING ON WOODEN SURFACESM&L for preparing old painted wood & wood based surfaces of any description, not otherwise described over 10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed. 28 French PolishingM&L for preparing old polished wood & wood based surfaces of any description by using sand paper no. 150, applying reapir/filling with putty of suitable material on holes/cracks etc and applying one coat of Melamyne Glossy/Mat finish french polishing to match the existing colour complete all as specified and directed. 29 S/E PAINTING ON CONCRETE SURFACESM&L for preparation of old concrete/ plastered surfaces any description/ section, not otherwise described over 10 cm width or girth by complete removing of existing treatment and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer complete all as specified 30 Repair to RCC ceiling, sunshades, Chajjas, Balconies, Columns, bands, beams, roof slab and similar RCC work at any position/height by dismantling loose/disintegrated portion and dubbing out with Cement Concrete 1:1½:3, 15mm to 50mm thick using 6 to 12mm graded stone aggregate to make up and finished to required shape including provision of necessary supports if required and stitching of cracks with mild steel U clamps made out of 8mm dia @ 150mm c/c with inserting concrete block stretcherwith cement mortar 1:3 mixed with adhesive chemical (Polymer based) and reinforced with PVC chicken mesh including form work where ever required and finished with10 mm thick plastering in CM 1:4 finished even and fair without using extra cement including preparation of surfaces to receive finishes complete all as specified and directed. 31 Note for Ser item No 2.03 to 2.08 & 3.03 to 3.09 :-The work for periodical services shall include the following and the rates quoted by the bidders shall include the same :-(a) The work pertaining to periodical services shall be executed by the contractor as per MoU from authorised applicator through manufacturer ofthe materials like Exterior Emulsion paint, putty etc after approval by the GE. (b) The Contractor shall upload with the documents under cover I Memoradum of Understanding (MOU) as per format given in Annexure ‘A’ after Schedule A Notes with at least one of the manufacturers mentioned in the contract, failing which the bid shall be laible to be rejected.(c) Use of Scaffolding, trestles, ladders, cradles etc necessary for execution of work and protective measures.(d) Removing of Nails, making good holes, cracks etc(e) Work in patches and in narrow / widths, bands, cornices, pilasters etc and cutting in edge of line where necessary.(f) Spreading and removing covering to doors, windows, floors, fittings etc to protect them from splashes.(g) Washing floors, cleaning glass, joinery , electric fittings , wirings etc. Drops and splashes of paint to be cleaned to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.(h) Sample patch of 10Sqm be prepared considering all the items of periodical and shall be got approved from GE prior to carrying out further work. 32 Notes: Applicable to (item No 2 to 8)1. The items of Plastering/ Rendering, putty and further finishes (as applicable) shall be got executed in Stage wise manner (as mentioned below). After completion of every stage contractor will submit the stage passing certificate duly sign by all concerned as per format given inAppx ‘A’ after Schedule A Notes.(a)Stage –I : Plastering / rendering.(b)Stage – II : Putty work.(c)Stage – III : First coat of finishes.(d) Stage- IV : Second coat of finishes.2. Please note no further stage shall be executed till the certificate is submited to the GE.
