The structure shall be made from the square hollow sections (SHS) and rectangular hollow sections (RHS) as per IS code with minimum Yst 210 MPa , The procedural weld geometry and the workmanship shall be exhaustively tested on the completed welds. The mast shall be provided with fully penetrated flange, which shall be free from any lamination or incursion. For the environmental protection of the mast, the entire fabricated mast shall be hot dip galvanized,internally and externally as per ASTM A 123. Galvanizing shall be without any lead content. Design code should comply to Wind Pressure & Loading Calculation as per IS:875 (Part 3), Load Combinations IS:800 – 2007 & Pole Design as per AASHTO 2015 “LRFD Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs,Luminaires and Traffic Signals”/ASCE/SEI 48-11 “Design of Steel Transmission Pole Structures”. The base plate is fabricated from special steel plates, S355 as per BSEN 10025 or equivalent. Base plate shall have suitable number of holes or slots to accommodate anchor bolts. An adequate door opening shall be provided at the base of the pole and the opening shall be such that it permits clear access to all electrical accessories like MCB, fuse etc. It also facilitates easy removal of the same.The door opening shall be complete with a close fitting, vandal resistant, weatherproof door, provided with locking arrangement. The door opening shall be carefully designed 19 S&E of 4m Glowing arm: The signal arm shall be made from Rectangular Hollow sections (RHS) of 150mm X 100mm, conforming to IS Code with min. Yst 210 MPa. The signal arm shall have 4m lengths with rectangular cross section mounted at suitable height. It shall be suitable to carry designed number of signal lights which shall be fixed and flush mounted on the arm through clamps and screws/bolts at desired position. Signal arm shall be perpendicular to pole shaft. Supporting rope shall be not be accepted. Signal arm should maintain its perpendicular position even after installation of signal units. The arm attachment shall have two vertical plates welded to pole to mount flange which shall be bolted to arm flange. Arm length should be provided with LED lighting in RED, Green and Amber for the length of 3m (1m X 3 batten) flush mounted LED batten to suit 4m arm. LED batten should use LED modules of make Osram/Cree/Seol/Edison or Semicom. Led modules should have life of 50,000 hours with lumen efficiency and brightness of 120 lumens per watt. LED arm light should comply with IS16104, 16106, 16108, IS10322, IES LM79. LED arm lighting should be IP66 rated. All the LED lights provided on arm should be synchronized with respective signal light (Red,amber,green) and timer. LED lights on arm should be covered by milky white polycarbonate diffuser to make environment proof and vandal proof assembly. Signal Vision System Batten should be made of aluminum extrusion (75 X 35 mm) with LED Light in synchronization with existing signaling
