| 2 | Materials and Labour for Supply and installation & testing of fast copper earth electrode maintenance free chemical earthing having 3 mtr long copperpipe of minimum diameter 76 mm.There should be terminal for connection of 20 mm x 3 mm of copper strip with two holes of 14 mm diameter. FAST ELECTRODE is duly fitted withthe highly conductive material with sealing at both ends with lead terminals of 20x3 mm copper strip at top, BFC (Backfilling compund chemical), earth conductivity enhancing compound alongwith Minimum 6 bags of 25 Kgseach of earth enhancing compound, including drilling a bore in earth of dia 300 mm dia. The chemical should be tested and certified by any international accredited laboratory. The earthhencing compound should be tested referring to protocol IS 1350/&/EC62321/111/54/CDV. The PH value of compound should be between 7 to 8. The content of mercury (Hg) & Hexacromium should be below detection level. The FAST ELECTRODE shall be dully tested & Certified by CPRI (Central Power Reserch Institution), Govt of India for a suitable minimum short circuit currentfor 1 second with initial pick of suitable KA. The Fast ELECTRODE shall be approved by CPRI, ERDA/NABL Labincluding pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of FRP, including nessary testings and commissioning, complete all as specified and as directed.Notes:-(i) The work of earthing shall be carried out by authorised trained rep of OEM. |
| 3 | (ii) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shallbe as per users requirementas desired by Engr-in-Charge but it should be below 01 Ohm. At certain locations, it may not be possible to achieve desired earth resistance with one electrode / pit due to higher soil resistivity,in such cases, provision of loop earthing consisting of more than one earth electrode pits shall be done.The number of pits required shall be decided based on the resistivity of soil and resistance achieved for the earth pits already installed.The distance between two successive earth electrodes shall not be less than 3 metres.(iii) The procedure mentioned here-in-before for one earth pit shall be repeated for other earth pits. (iv) Additional earth electrode pits and loop conductor shall be measured and paid seperately. (v)Earth strip size 20mmx 3mm for making connection/tripod and up to 5 Mtr from earthing set(vi) Testing for earth resistance shall be carried out in presence of GE and Engr-in-Charge. (vii)Taking out existing unserviceable earthing system complete. (viii) Original purchase vouchers for copper rod and back fill compound and manufacturer test certificate of entire quantity shall be produced by the contractor before commencement of work.(ix) The Earthingshall be carried out withSoil suitable for Agricultural purpose. is deemed to be included with unit rate of itembeyond 5 mtr earth strip will be measured and paid sepearatly. |

| 8 | M&L for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600x600x3mm thick buried directly in ground (Earth plate not less than 3.0 M in deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 2.4m below normal ground level connected to copper earth strip 20X3 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron all as drected by Engr-in- Charge andconnected to earthing test point all as specified and directed including necessary earth work in any type of strata and PCC 1:3:6 type B1 forchamber and RCC chamber cover 50mm thick in lieu of CI cover andcopper stripprotected by 40mm GI pipe light grade complete. Including filling of agriculture sand brought from out side defence land for earth pit as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Excavation and removal of excavated soil and filling of agriculture sand brought from out side defence landshall be included in the overall rate quated. No extra payment shall be paid.Note :- (a). The quoted rate includes the rate of Magnesium Sulphate of 40Kg per earth pit poured with salt and charcoal (To obtainedearth resistance value and prepare testsheetofnewly constructed earth pitshall be responsibility of contractor ) (b). If the desired earth resistance not obtained the earthing shall be re-done by contractor without any extra cost to Govt . (c) 40 mm dia light grade GI pipe for earth lead strip protectionand earth strip up to 7.5 Mtr incl in quoted rates beyond that both are measured and paid separetely. |
| 9 | Supply & fixing ESE LA Advanced type Early Streamer Emission type TP Lightning Protection complete with the Lightning Air Terminal- safe lightning protection rod having protection radius of minimum 79 mtr. The Insulation material used to electrically isolate the panels & shall be comprised of abased Stainless Steel which provides high Ozone & UV resistance with a di-electric strength of 24-38KV/mm tested as per NFC 17-102, UNE 21186, IEC 60-1:1989, NP 4426:2013.The ESE TP ATS Terminal shall be tested and certified by CPRI ,Govt. Of India for the impulse current of 71KA(8/20 micro sec) with 5 positive and 5 negative impulse & international test LAB [except China]. The material also must be tested at the impulse current of 100+ kA [10/350ms] at deltaT=60 ms. The ESE Air Terminal with offer a Protection Radius of 79 Meters at level 1 & 107 mtr at level 4 at a height of 6mtr*50mm GI mast as per NFC 17 102(Calculation). EPOXY type insulator must be present in between mast & Air terminal, including guy wire as required, mast coupler and SLPR accessories complete all as specified and as directed. |
