| 18 | M & L for Waterproof Coating on Internal floor andwall using NITOCOTE CM 210 or equivalentof 2mm thickness complete all as specified below steps by authorised agency :-a) Surface Preparation: Surface shall be grained manual to ensure free from frost, surface laitance and contamination free from loose aggregate or other sharp protrusions with fairly smooth finish for application of waterproof coating.(b) Priming surface: shall be primed with water and wet the surfaces prior to coating. Any excess water collection shall be removed using sponge to ensure for better bonding. (c) System: Providing and applying two coats to achieve minimum 2.0mm thickness, the waterproofing coating shall be of Nitocote CM210 or equivalent as approved by GE, an elastomeric cementations coating. System shall consist of two-component polymer modified cementations coatingsupplied in pre-packaged form. The product should bedesigned to be easily mixed on site using a slow speed drill fitted with mixing paddle to apply on substrate using trowel. The cured coating, after immersion, shall be capable of withstanding cracked substrate cyclic movement from 0- 300 - 0 microns at 15°C for 6,000 cycles without failure all as specified and as directed at all levels.(d) Provide mechanical key : Sand shall be manually broadcast over the second coat immediately to ensure the protective layer shall be bonded to waterproofed coating layer.NOTES:- (I) The rates quoted for this items is deemed to be inclusive of all the provisons from (a) to (d) specified here-in-before. (II) The work shall be carried out by authorised applicator of the manufacturer only having valied licencewith validity six month beyond date of completion of the work shalll be given by the contractor who in turn shall obtain the similar gurantee from the applicator and submit to the department. |
