The contractor shall dismantle and take away all the building items, including electrical fixtures, sanitary fixtues, pipe lines, wires, etc fixed to the building as is where is basis. | 3 | The amount payable by the contractor to IIT madras for Dismantling the existing main quarters buildings (B-01 to B-18)measuring total approximate plinth area around 4023 sqm and Servant quarters for the building B-01 to 02 and B 7-18 for a approximate plinth area of 360.5 Sqm by manually/ by mechanical means forRCC & PCC Work, steel work, stone & brick masonry, cutting reinforcement bars, Dismantling doors, windows and clerestory windows (steel or wood) shutter including chowkhats, architrave, holdfasts, Dismantling aluminum windows, GI sheet sheds, paver blocks, pathways, fencing, gates along with its fencing posts, including disposal of building rubbish/ malba/ similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground. The contractor shall dismantle and take away all the building items, including electrical fixtures, sanitary fixtues, pipe lines, wires, etc fixed to the building as is where is basis. | 4 | Remarks1. Necessary permission for disposing debris should be obtained by the contractor from the local body concerned (without any additional charges from IITM). The rate inclusive of making temporary barricading around the building for a height of 3m, precautionary measures for reducing the dust and noise pollution, safety measures for labours engaged for dismantling etc., complete. The demolition shall be done by using mechanical equipment and no blasting will be allowed.2. The bidder shall pay 50% of the quoted amount to IIT Madras within 7 days from the date of Issue of LoI. The dismantling/ demolition of the existing building shall commence only after payment of 50% of the quoted amount to IIT Madras. 3. The remaining 50% of the quoted cost against each BoQ item shall be paid before taking out the first lot of dismantled / demolition material outside the IIT Madras campus |
