Door Frame: The door frame assembly is made of 2 vertical door stiffeners, a top horizontal stiffener and a bottom horizontal stiffener. It provides rigidity to the entire body as the topmost shelf is pop riveted with the back panel as well as both the vertical door frame. The door frame is also useful if the customer chooses to have doors for the optimizer as the doors are hinged about the door frame. It is made of 0.8 thk. CRCA Steel conforming to IS: 513 Gr.D.6. Tie rod assembly: The tie rod assembly acts as a substitute to the back panels (only in twin body) if the customer chooses to not have back panels. The assembly consists of 2 tie rods, 4 fixing brackets and 2 turnbuckles. The tie rods are fixed in a shape of ‘X’ between two opposite shelves. This is done to ensure that the unit is light enough for one person to pull/push with a handle even at recommended full load capacity. Shelf can be placed at clear height of 386mm from bottom in everybody. | 54 | Movements of the System:Push-Pull Configuration (TYPE-P1/TYPE-P2): Movement of units achieved by pushing or pulling a pair of ‘C type plastic handles’ (mounted on SL & TM units). These handles are rigidly fixed at an ergonomically suitable height on side of each moving body. Each movable body also has an understructure with 4 nos. of antifriction ball bearings for rolling on channels. The twin moving body, i.e. TM, has 4 nos. of bearing fitted horizontally to restrict the lateral movement of the body on rail while the single moving body, i.e. SL, body has 2 nos. of a special anti-tilt bearing assembly fitted to the understructure which not only restricts lateral movement but also prevents SL from toppling.Drive Type Configuration (TYPE-D2/TYPE-D3/TYPE- D4): In case of drive type movement of units is achieved by rotating a PU hand wheel. The hand wheel comprises of a welded metal frame which is then covered by PU using insert-molding process. The metal frame is made of 3 mm thk. HR conforming to IS:2062.The handwheel is connected to the rollers through a ‘Sprocket-Chain’ arrangement mounted on the side of the body. For D3 & D4 type of configurations, the ‘sprocket-chain’ arrangement is replaced by a 2-stage ‘sprocket-chain’ arrangement to accommodate higher weights of the bodies.For D2, each movable understructure is provided with 4 rollers of which 2 are driving and 2 are driven. The driving rollers are connected to the sprocket-chain arrangement through a connector tube. Through this assembly the input from handwheel is transferred to the driving rollers which then move the entire unit along the rails. On LD understructure additional 2 nos. of a special anti-tilt bearing assembly is fitted to the understructure. This prevents lateral movement as well as tilting of body.Similarly, for D3 each movable understructure has 3 driving rollers and 3 driven rollers. LD understructure has 2 nos. of anti-tilt bearing assembly.For D4 each movable understructure has 4 driving rollers and 4 driven rollers. LD understructure has 2 nos. of anti-tilt bearing assembly.The roller assembly comprises of a die-cast step wheel, 2 deep-groove ball bearings and a MS shaft. The step wheel is made of cast steel and is fitted onto the MS shaft using a feather key. The two ball bearings are then fastened on either side of the step wheel using circlips. This entire roller assembly is then snap-fitted into a wheel housing. The wheel housing is fixed in the U-channel of the understructure using machine screws. This wheel-housing is made of engineering plastic material made by injection-molding process. The entire roller assembly is designed to withstand the maximum loads of the body.The ‘sprocket-chain’ arrangement is covered by a 1 mm thk. CRCA sheet Drive Unit Cover with dimensions 1202mm x 398mm x 87mm and is fixed onto the side of the body. The PU handwheel is rigidly fixed at suitable height on side of the body & projects out of cover by another 99.0 mm. Fixed unit (SD) does not have the Drive Unit Cover. |
| 55 | Fittings:(a) Push Pull Optimizer Centralized Locking:A Centralized locking arrangement is provided through Locking Stiffener mounted onto back of Single Last unit, i.e. SL body. It gets locked into the channels when all the units are brought together, and the lock is turned. The Recess handle lock is of Godrej make & placed at a height of 940mm from ground level. The locking stiffener is made of 1.2 mm thk conforming to IS:513.(b) Drive Type Optimizer Centralized Locking:Each Drive type unit has a Locking Knob near the Drive wheel for manual locking of individual units when a person is using those units. This prevents other users from accidently moving units while someone is inside. Knob should be rotated to unlock position when units are to be moved again.A centralized locking arrangement is also provided on drive unit cover. A cam lock and lever arrangement is fitted on the drive unit cover of the last movable body, i.e. (LD). After all bodies are brought together, the bodies are locked using their respective knobs. The cam lock is then turned to lock position. This locked cam lock ensures that the knob of the last body remains in the locked position unless the cam lock is unlocked. This in turn ensures that the entire layout remains locked.When the last Body is Twin Drive, i.e. TD, hinged doors are provided for the last body. Prior to the grouting of the guide channels with the help of raul plug & screw, ensure the ground is level. The rail channels are of 3 lengths i.e., 800mm, 1600mm and 2400mm.Connection of rail channels: The requirement of rail channels depends on the number of rows of bodies. In any configuration there is only one fixed body (SS/SD). There will be only one movable single body (SM/LD) or no movable single body depending on the layout. The number of twin bodies (TM/TD) depends on the layout and customer. In case of any layout there will always be one 2400mm long rail channel. The 800mm and 1600mm rail channels are connected to the 2400mm rail channel, depending on number of rows. The 2400mm rail channel is connected to 800mm/1600mm rail channel using a Square 19.1mm X 2mm thk ERW tube. This tube is connected to both channels using screws from bottom side.Rail Logic: For each body in the bay there is a corresponding rail. So P1/P2/D2 configuration has 2 rails, D3 configuration has 3 rails and D4 has 4 rails. |
| 56 | (e) Label Holder:It is an aluminium extrusion of length 396mm for LD/SD and 796mm for TD, fitted on to front cover of body. The Paper is 300GSM matt milky white sticker paper, to be inserted into the aluminium extrusion. The length of paper is 394mm for LD/SD and 794mm for TD. Over that a transparent plastic of corresponding length of 150-200 micron polythene is to be inserted.(g) Platform option (for drive type only): A Platform option is also provided for drive type optimizer along with Rail channel arrangement. The platform consists of Rail Extrusion which is a thick extrusion on which Rail MS bright bar of sq 25.4mm is firmly fixed from bottom using counter sunk screws. This Rail extrusion arrangement has 3 lengths similar to Rail channel i.e., 800mm, 1600mm and 2400mm.Connection of rail extrusions: The requirement of rail extrusions is same as that of the rail channels. The connection of rail extrusions is done using a metal strip which is screwed on the side of the 2400mm rail extrusion bright bar and 800mm/1600mm rail extrusion bright bar, using CSK screws. The metal strip is made of HR sheet 3 mm thk. conforming to IS:2062.Rail Logic: For each body in the bay there is a corresponding rail. So D2 configuration has 2 rails, D3 configuration has 3 rails and D4 has 4 rails.The platform has wire extrusion with snap cover and a slope extrusion on either side of the platform. It also has 3 lengths similar to the rail extrusion. There are MDF panels of 25mm thickness with 1mm Merino Laminate (AC 3 GRADE 40499 SUEDE), which are placed between the extrusions based on the layout. The AC 3 grade ensures resistance to abrasion caused by moderate to heavy footfall.The logic for platform panels booking is shared in a separate excel file. The logic shared is only up to a configuration for 1LD + 1SD + 6TD. For a layout bigger than that the wooden panels are to be booked through APO. This is applicable only for platform panels and not for rail extrusions.(h) Aisle Space:Ensure a clear aisle space on the Handle / Drive Wheel side of the Optimizer layout is at least 780mm.
