| 1 | Comprehensive Maintenance and Repairs of electrically operated fire alarm system/fire detection system complete total 26 Nos located at INS SATVAHANA, INS VIRBAHU, NAVAL DOCKYARD, INS CIRCARS, INSH KALYANI, NAVAL PARK AND DOPHIN AREA under GE (NB) Vizag which consist various types of panels as mentioned in para (a) below;Comprehensive maintenance cosists of mantaining existing fire alarm systems with collective/ selective control schedule by carrying out periodic checks, repairs andtesting as recommended by the manufacturer and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge to ensure smooth, healthy, safe and effecient operation including repair/replacement of all spare parts/ accessories etc required as per the system requirement of compatible make as specified by the OEM required to keep the fire alarm systems in good and safe working condition. The fire alarm system/Detection system consist of the following:(a) Total No of fire alarm/fire detection system- 26 Nos and consist of the following:(i) Microprocessor based addressable networking type fire alarm control panel of make Apollo/Honeywell/Seimens with supply unit heavy duty Battery charger and allied components- 25 Nos(ii) Microprocessor based touch screen addressable repeater panel with battery charger of make Apllo/Honeywell/Seimens with supply unit heavy duty charger and allied components- 13 Nos(iii) Addresable multi sensor detector of make Apllo/Honeywell/Seimens- 973 Nos(iv) Electronic hooter/buzzer of make Apllo/Honeywell/Seimens - 225 Nos(v) Manual Call points - 165 Nos(vi) Battery 12V 07/12 AH - 45 Nos |
| 2 | Note:(i)Comprehensive maintenance, checking, servicing, preventive/periodical, routine and corrective (break down) maintenance, cleaning, inspection and testing in and including repair/replacement of defective components/parts/accessories/ devices of UL listed /control wiring harness shall be carried out by the authorised personnel of authorised dealer of the system and quoted rate shall deemed to include all this aspect The contractor shall submit the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)on stamp paper duly notarized with Original Equipments Manufacturer (OEM) or their accredited/authorized agencies as applicable to the effect that maintenance shall be carried out under their overall supervision, maintenance and direction/ instructions within ten days after acceptance of tender, failing which the contract will be liable to be cancelled in terms of General condition of contract (IAFW-2249). In case the old makes fire alarm system/fire detection systemfor which OEM/ authorised agency do not exist, will be repaired through other OEMs/ accredited agencies, registered MES contractors or other contractors listed in appropriate category of CPWD/ Railways/ Other Government Agencies as approved by GE (ii) For Schedule of works to be carried out by the contractor shall be as per the IS-2189:2008 and also refer respective cluases under Particluar Specifications. (iii) Spare parts required for smooth functioning of the system shall be measured and paid separately under respective items here-in-after as \"Supply only\". In case replacement of defective parts is essential to make the fire alarm system functional it shall be done after obtaining written approval from AGE based on recommendation of OEM . Fixing of new parts shall be carried out in presence and supervision ofoneOEM authorised Engineer and in presence of AGE /JE(E&M) . Make and model of part to be replaced shall be same as existing at site or as per OEM recommendation (iv) Cost of labour for replacement of spare parts shall deemed to be included in unit quoted rate under this item. (v) Minor spares not included in this schedule but required for smooth functioning of the system shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt. |
| 3 | 2Notes (Contd..)(vi) The contractor shall visit the sites and inspect complete fire detection & alarm system along with addressable system including all connected devices and ascertain the conditions of the systems in all respect before quoting their rates in tender. Contractor has to replace/repair all the defective items found at site during execution of the work for smooth functioning of the sytem. No representation/claim whatsoever arises shall be entertained during execution of work (vii) The contractor must maintain the system as per the regular maintenance schedule and shall be responsible for 100% functionality of the complete fire alarm and detection system (viii) The system components shall be cleaned, recalibrated and retested if necessary to ensure continued performance and reduce the risk of component or system failure)(ix) All relevant Tools & Plant and stationery such as attendnace register, Periocical maintenance register, log book etc required to operate, repair, servicing and to maintain the system shall be arranged by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt. (x) All consumable items such as fuses, resistance, cleaning materials, battery acid, distrilled water, battery thimbles clamp, grease and thimbles of all sizes, PVC insulation tape, nuts, bolts and screws etc shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt. (xi) The regular and periodical cleaning/routine checking/testing and adjusting the detectors shall be carried out by the contractor in planned and systematic manner as per IS-2189:2208 with the help of TEST FIRE smoke & Heat Test Kit for efficient and smooth functioning of the system without any extra cost to the Govt. (xii) The contractor shall be responsible for handing over the complete fire detection and fire alrm system alonwith all devices/ accessories / control wiring harness in serviceable condition at the time of completion of works duly inspected by the Engr-in-Charge jointly and inspection report of servicieablilty state of complete Fire alarm and detection system shall be submitted. (xiii) Force majeure:-Any breakdown in fire detection & alarm system along with addressable system including all connected devices caused due to natural calamities, i.e flood, earthquake, etc.shall be outside scope of routine/periodical maintenance.(xiv) The decision of Accepting Officer on exclusion/inclusion in scope of routine/periodical maintenance shall be final and binding. |
