    Tender For Procurement And Use Of Upvc Pipe Conforms To Is: 4985- 2000 In Distribution System a) The raw materials for manufacturing UPVC pipe must conform to IS: 10151-1982 & supported by the Test Certificate for each received lot from manufacturer. (b) U.P.V.C. Pipes & Fitting must conform to following I.S. Codes :- i. I.S. 4985-2000 for Grey UPVC Pipe used for Water Supply System. ii. I.S. 10124-1988 for Grey UPVC Fittings used for Water Supply System. iii. I.S. 14182-1994 for solvent cement used for jointing of UPVC pipes & fittings. (c) Testing of UPVC Pipes :- Supply of UPVC Pipes of manufacturer for execution of work be made duly accompanied by Test Certificate by Third Party Inspection, Test Certificate from CIPET, Bhubaneswar / Haldia Institution for acceptance report in regard to Testing should be done in their own laboratory in presence of Departmental Officer as per NEERI Guideline for the finished pipe. (d) Guideline regarding Handling & Storage of U.P.V.C. Pipes (Taken from note furnished by Director, CIPET and from some reputed manufacturers‟ brochure).
