12M&L Rendering 15 mm thick in two layers onbrick or concrete wall surfaces, first coat 10mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 and 2nd coat 5mm thick in cement mortar1:4 mixed with water proofing compound as per manufacturer instructions finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.
13Note for item No 12 :- Water proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately.
14M&L Rendering 15 mm thick onbrick or concrete wall surfaces, in cement mortar 1:6 finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.
15M&L Preparation of newly plastered wall surfaces and applying three coats of white washing on walls surfaces complete all as specified and directed.
16Note for item No 15 :- (i) The lime shall be slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the last two coats of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use
17(ii) Application of Whitewash:- White wash shall be applied with ‘MOONJ’ brush or other brush to the specified number of coats. The operation for each coat shall consist of a stroke of the brush given from the top downwards, another from the bottom upwards over the first stroke and similarly one stroke horizontally from the right and another from the left before it dries. Each coat shall be allowed to dry before the next coat is applied. No portion of the surface shall be left out initially to be patched up later on. The brush shall be dipped in whitewash, pressed lightly against the wall of the container and then applied by lightly pressing against the surface with full swing of hand
18(iii)Whitewashing on ceiling should be done prior to that on walls.
19M&L preparation on newly plastered wall surfaces and applying two coats of cement base paint one coat of alkali resistant primer complete all as specified and directed.
20Note for Item No 19:- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.
21(ii)To maintain a uniform mixture and to prevent segregation ,the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.
22(iii)Painting surfaces shall be cured as soon as paint has hardened so as not be to damaged by the spray about 12 hours after the applications.
23(iv)Cost of scaffolding required deemed to be included in the quoted rate of item and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.
24(v)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of any approved make as per list of makes specified.
25M & L for brick work with sub class "B" brick, well burnt of best quality locally available old size brick, straight or curved on plan exc. 6 m mean radius in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.
26M&L precast cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate block masonry with solid blocks exc 10cm in width and setting in cement mortar 1:4, complete all as specified and as directed
27S&F Steel work in tubular trusses and columns including special shaped washer etc complete using ERW or induction butt,welded tubes conforming to IS 1161-1979 grade ST-240complete all as specified
28S&FPlates (plain or chequered) channels, square cut or notched (ordinary and counter sunk) forming holes, with riveted , bolted or welded attachment.(Fe 410 -W (Gde- E-250) quality -A complete steelall as specified
29S&F Pre painted Coloured corrugated Galvalume roofing system sheet 0.50 mm thick having Zinc aluminum alloy coating AZ150 shall be as per IS:277/ASTM 1379 150 gsm/ sqm double ribbed trapezoidal profile steel sheetany colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in Roof covering /cladding to wall fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified anddirected.
30M&L Pre-painted galvalume aluminum zinc coating GI based Plain steel sheet 0.50mmthick of any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/ cladding to wall, fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified anddirected.
31Note for Item No 29 & 30:- (Pre-painted coloured Galvalume roofing) :-
32(i) The manufacturer"s test certificate andindividual test certificate for the chemical and mechanical properties of sheet must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.
33(ii) The contractor shall ensured that no leakages take place from the roof. The roofing shall be Coloured Galvalume roofing system (olive green colour or as approved by GE) with feed material manufactured from 0.50 mm Totalcoated thickness (TCT), minimum 550 MPa yield strength and shall conform to the physical specifications of IS: 2062 of 2011, coated with hot dip metallic Aluminium / Zinc alloy coating AZ150 as 150 gm/sq.mt total on both sides.
34(iii) The painting shall be coloured baked enamel polyesterwith silicon coatingoffilm thickness 25 microns nominal on the exposed face/exterior side and on the reverse side ( interior face) shall be white with 15 microns film thickness, over a coat of 5 micron nominalthickness Primer.
35M & L cutting channels in to or throgh concrete with or without reinforcement, grooves or rebates n exc 15cm girth, and trimming surface complete all as specified and as directed.
36Note for Item No 35:- (i) cutting openings shall be exceeding 0.1 sq. m superficial area in walls
37(ii) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive for providing, fixing and removing shoring or other temporary supports.
38M & LReinforced cement concrete Type B-0 using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in columns , pillars, post and struts etc complete all as specified and as directed
39M & Lformwork to sides of pillars, posts, struts, piers,columns and stanchions for square, rectangular or polygonal, rough finished flat surfaces of concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

43S&F Hand rails, half round or other steel section or core for wooden hand-rail straight portion, drilled and countersunk for balusters running bars, for doors, balusters, nosing to steps including embeding in concrete and screwing etc. wind ties for roof including securing bolts posts and struts in fencing including cutting tops to shape as directed, drilling holes, notching for wire, etc.; flat iron fillets (for securing wire mesh etc.) including all necessary drilling, bolting or riveting, etc., and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165complete all as specified and as directed.
44S & F expanded metal, cut to length, bent to shape required and tying with and including annealed mild steel wire not less than 0.9mm dia or fixing with galvanised steel staples supplied and fixed complete to wood or steel members n exc 4 kg/sqm complete all as specified and directed.
45S&F Framed work as in doors or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails, braces, etc. complete, drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering. Doors, etc. to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings (exclusive of steel sheeting or other covering, running rails and guides) and hanging; also fastening and fixing with steel conforming to Fe 410-W (Gde-E- 250)quality-A complete all as specified and directed.
46M & L preparation of new steel surface of any description not otherwise described over 10cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed
47M & L preparation of new wooden surface of any description not otherwise described over 10cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of pink primer complete all as specified and directed
48Note for item No 46 & 47 :- (a) All synthetic enamel paint, shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.
49(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.
50(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.
51(d)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)
52(e )Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE
53(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.
54(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.
55(h) No hair marks from the brushor clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.
56(e)Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE
57(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.
58M & L for providing and laying 60mm thick factorymade chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-35 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footparth, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand; complete all as specified and directed.
59Note for Item No 58 :- The manufacturer"s test certificate andindividual test certificateof Tilesmust be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.
60M&L PCC 100 mm thick in 1:3:6, type C-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate, as in flooring complete all as specified and directed.
61S & F 110mm bore PVC (SWR) waste and vent pipes single socketed in any length with rubber ring joints and laid in trenches complete all as specified and directed.
62Note for Item No 61 :- Necessary earth work excavation, RFR, and removal of excavated earth shall be measured and paid seperately under relavent item.
63M&L chequered cement concrete coloured tiles of size 200 x 200 x 20 mm thick machine pressed heavy duty any pattern/type, chemically treated, set jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry on vertical surfaces as in skirtings, dados and risers of steps, etc and cut and polished using grey cement andpigments over 10 mm thick backing coat of cement mortar 1:3 complete all as specified and directed.
64Note for Item No 63 :- (b)The manufacturer"s test certificate andindividual test certificateof Tilesmust be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.
65Supply, laying,jointing and testing high pressure UPVC pipeclass “SCH 40”,150 mm dia, conforming to IS 13592 with all fittings (specials) and fixtures and laid in trecches complete all as specified and directed.
66Note for Item No 65 :- Necessary earth work excavation, RFR, and removal of excavated earth shall be measured and paid seperately under relavent item.
67M&L Vitrified Ceramic tiles 10 mm thick, lightshade (square/ rectangular) polished, area of each tiles not exceeding 0.36 sqm, in floors etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match, laid over andincluding screed bed or bedding layer, 15 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:6complete all as specified and as directed.
68M&L Vitrified Ceramic tiles 10 mm thick, lightshade (square/ rectangular) polished, area of each tiles not exceeding 0.36 sqm, in vertical surfaces such as skirting/ dado etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match, laid over andincluding backing coat with 15 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed.
69Note for item No67 & 68 :- (i) Vitrified tiles are classified under group B1a of the international Standard for ceramic tiles ISO: 13006. Tiles shall be hard, dense, impervious and frost resistant. Water absorption of tiles shall be less than 0.5% and flexural strength (Modulus of Rupture) shall be more than 35 N/Sqmm.
