The Electrode Shall Be Approved By Rdso Under Irs Class `A4? Of Irs M28/2002 To The Code Eb 532Xh2jx Of Is:814/91 (`X? Of The Code Refers To The Welding Current & Voltage Condition As Recommended By The Electrode Manufacturer). The Butt-Welded Test Specimen Prepared Using The Subject Electrode Shall Pass 180-Degree Transverse Bend Test (Both Root And Face Bends) On Testing As Per Is:3600-83 Part-5 With Mandrel Dia (D) Being 3T (T-Thickness Of The Parent Material). The Electrode Shall Be Operatable On Ac As Well As Dc In Which Dc+Ve Is Mandatory. Packing Condition Shall Be As Per Clause 5.1.1 Of Irs-M-28/2002. The Pre-Heating Temperature And Duration Shall Be Specified On The Electrode Packets (Carton). The Shelf Life Of The Electrode Shall Be 12 Months From Date Of Receipt In Stores Or 18 Months From The Date Of Manufacture, Whichever Is More. Electrode to size Dia 2.5mmx350mm length shall be low hydrogen type (basic coated) electrode with good welding characteristic and it shall be suitable for welding steel of IS:2062/latest or equivalent. The electrode shall be approved by RDSO under IRS Class `A4? of IRS M28/2002 to the code EB 532xH2JX of IS:814/91 (`X? of the code refers to the welding current & voltage condition as recommended by the electrode manufacturer).The butt-welded test specimen prepared using the subject electrode shall pass 180-degree transverse bend test (Both root and face bends) on testing as per IS:3600-83 part-5 with Mandrel Dia (D) being 3T (T-thickness of the parent material). The electrode shall be operatable on AC as well as DC in which DC+VE is mandatory. Packing condition shall be as per clause 5.1.1 of IRS-M-28/2002. The pre-heating temperature and duration shall be specified on the electrode packets (Carton). The shelf life of the electrode shall be 12 months from date of receipt in stores or 18 months from the date of manufacture, whichever is more.
