Short circuit and loss of AC sensing The alternator should confirm to IS/ IEC 60034-1. Routine tests as per relevant ISS shall be conducted and test reports of the same shall be furnished at the time of delivery. Fuel tank Integral type fuel tank of capacity not less than 150 liters/as per manufactures standards with drain plug. air vent, inlet arid outlet connections, level indicator and provisions for cleaning. Battery and battery Charger Required number of suitably rated fully charged 150 AH battery with leads and terminals including suitable type external Battery Charger for charging the battery from external mains as required as per manufactures requirements. The battery charger shall be suitable to charge the required number of batteries 12V/ 24V complete with transform, Rectifier charge rate selector switch. Indicating Ammeter & Voltmeter etc. This will be in addition to the battery charging alternator or dynamo fitted on the engine. Acoustic Enclosure a, The DG set shall be supplied along with specially designed company Fabricated (to be fabricated in the same company firm where the DG set delivered) acoustic enclosure to meet the stringent MOEF/ CPCB norms of 75 dBA @1 m at 75% load under free field conditions b. Sufficient space and clearance shall be maintained inside the enclosure to have optimum serviceability c. Air inlet louvers shall be designed in such a way as to operate the set at rated load even at 50°C enclosure temperature d. The enclosure shall be 11 tank pre- treatment processed and UV resistant Powder coating of all parts to withstand extreme environments e. Hardware used shall be of only stainless steel make f. Insulation material shall conform to IS 8183 specifications Documents to be supplied a. Engine manual b. Spare parts book c. Warranty certificate d. Alternator manual & test certificate e. 1 set control wiring drawing Mounting Arrangement It shall be installed in the per-constructed concrete bed on a common MS fabricated base frame with AVM pads complying to relevant lS standards, lE rules end as per the direction of the Department officials. Exhaust System Exhaust piping: All MS pipes for exhaust line shall be conforming to the relevant IS. The work includes necessary cladding of exhaust pipe work using 50mni thick loosely hound resin (ABR) matters/ mineral wool/ Rock wool, density not less than 120 Kg/m3 and aluminum cladding (0.6mm thick) for the complete portion. The exhaust pipe work includes necessary supports, foundation étc. to avoid any load and stress on turbo charger/ exhaust piping. The exhaust piping Shall be run along the existing wall of the building duly clamped/ supported on independent structure. a) Exhaust system should create minimum back pressure. (b) Number of bends should be kept minimum and smooth bends should be used to minimize the back pressure. (c) Exhaust pipe inside the acoustic. Enclosure/ Generator room should be lagged with asbestos rope along with aluminum sheet cladding (d) When the tail end is horizontal, 45 Degree downward cut should be given at the end of the pipe to avoid rain water entry into exhaust piping. (e) When tail end is vertical there should be rain trip to avoid rain water entry. If rain Cap is used, the distance between the rain cap and exhaust pipe should be higher than the diameter of the pipe. (f) The exhaust outlet should be in the direction of prevailing winds and should not allow exhaust gases to enter the air inlet/ windows etc. (g) "Schedule B" MS pipes and long bend/ elbows should be used. Testing and commissioning The DG set shall be tested as per relevant IS standards. Block load testing shall also be conducted. The load required for testing shall be made available by the selected agency/ Contractor at his own expense. Warranty The D.G set shall be guaranteed for 3 years from the date of commissioning from any defects in manufacturing. Any of the spares/ components which are found to be defective during this period shall be replaced immediately free of cost by the selected Agency/ Contractor. |
