3 | The tenderers are advised to visit the site to acquaint themselves, about the level of |
4 | sub-soil water, drainage facility for dewatering, accessibility to the site etc., and |
5 | quote the rates accordingly. |
6 | All the items of sub-structure include the cost of dewatering and shoring during the |
7 | progress of work, till its completion without any extra cost to the Department. |
8 | PPC / Blended cement of recommended brand shall only be used for all masonry and |
9 | finishing works unless otherwise specified. |
10 | Only Ready Mix Mortar of approved make shall be used. For richer proportion additional cement to be added in |
11 | required proportion. |
12 | Quoted rate shall hold good for plain/ curved/ any other geometric shapes & sizes of |
13 | all structural/ RCC members including formworks, masonry, flooring, doors & |
14 | windows, plastering, paintingetc. at all leads, levels, lifts and floors including |
15 | scaffolding, bracing, multilevel staging etc., unless otherwise specified. Nothing extra |
16 | shall be entertained towards wastages of materials, additional labours / tools & |
17 | plants etc. to achieve the required shapes & sizes etc. |
18 | Royalty for excavation, transportation, filling of earthwork etc. including obtaining |
19 | permission from statutory authority, if any shall be borne by the contractor. |
20 | The tenderer shall provide barricade consisting of MS angle / pipe posts runners, |
21 | bracing & corrugated GI sheet of approved colour for a height upto 3m to separate |
22 | the working area, maintaining the barricade in good condition including removing |
23 | the same after completion of the work without any cost to Department. Prior written |
24 | approval of Engineer in Chargeof the sketch / drawing showing details of |
25 | barricading shall be obtained by the contractor . Barricading including gates etc. |
26 | around the site as per instruction of Engineer in Charge must be completed before |
27 | commencement of the work. No work shall be allowed unless the barricading is |
28 | completed to the satisfaction of the Engineer in Charge. A certificate from the Engineer in Charge must be submitted by the |
29 | contractor for completion of barricading along with 1st RA bill for releasing the payment. Quoted rate are |
30 | inclusive of this job. |
31 | Vehicular movement shall abide by the regulations imposed by the concerned |
32 | authorities. The contractor shall abide by the security rules & regulations of the |
33 | Department. The approach roads should be kept clean & free from obstruction for |
34 | smooth functioning. |
35 | While transporting materials from site, and disposal of surplus materials, the spilled |
36 | over materials / earth / debris etc. on the road should be got cleaned by the |
37 | contractors after the day"s work is over. |
38 | The following security regulation shall be followed strictly while movement of |
39 | labourers/ workers/ contractor"s personnel including transportation of the |
40 | materials etc. |
41 | i) The workers, Engineers and supervisors will be provided vigil passes (for entry |
42 | into Premises) on submission of application forms in prescribed formats |
43 | supported by documentary proof like ration card, driving licence, PAN card, |
44 | election cards, Adhar card etc. |
45 | ii) The contractor shall obtained special permission for working on extended |
46 | hours of working days including Saturday, Sunday and holidays etc., |
47 | iii) Workers shall be escorted from the main gate upto the site by designated |
48 | supervisors of the contractor and they are not allowed roaming here and there |
49 | inside the premises. |
50 | iv) Transport vehicles of the contractor are allowed to enter the premises for |
51 | transportation of construction materials. Drivers must have valid driving license |
52 | of Heavy Vehicle. Vehicles must have valiid RC book, Valid |
53 | insurance & PUC. |
54 | v) The following security regulation shall also be followed strictly while movement |
55 | of labourers/ workers/ contractor"s personnel etc. |
56 | (a) The contractor shallissue I-Cards to his workers deployed on regular basis. |
57 | (b) The supervisor of the contractor having photo pass can bring daily wage workers/ |
58 | casual workers inside campus for work. He should prepare list of such workers in |
59 | duplicate. The original copy shall be handed over to the representative of the |
60 | Engineer in Charge at the gate and endorsement obtained on duplicate on daily |
61 | basis. |
62 | (c) The contractor personnel including daily wage workers shall be in uniform with |
63 | proper identification in order toease in identification of such persons at |
64 | unauthorised places. |
65 | (d) The daily wage workers/ casual workers employed by the contractor must wear |
66 | florescence visa wear without fail during their presence inside Campus. |
67 | The contractor shall follow strictly the DAE safety rules . |
68 | The drawings issued for tender purpose are preliminary and indicative only. The |
69 | working drawing shall be issued in phased manner at the time of execution. Nothing |
70 | extra shall be entertained towards revision in drawings. |
71 | The contractor shall arrange water and electricity for construction purpose of his |
72 | own. |
73 | Suitable area near site of workshall be allocated to the contractor for storing |
74 | construction materials, site office etc. Optimum care shall be taken by the contractor |
75 | to avoid disturbing the traffic and road around the building etc. |
76 | The schedule of quantities include contingent works for other services. Accordingly |
77 | the contractor shall carry outall related works such as making cut outs, nitches, |
78 | pipe sleeves, foundation pockets for foundation embadded plate, bolts etc.in concrete |
79 | / masonry works as and when required by Engineer in charge without any extra cost to |
80 | the Department. |
81 | The sizes of natural stones/ tiles mentioned for flooring dado, skirting etc. are |
82 | approximate and subject to the availability in market during execution. If the |
83 | required size is not available the next higher sizeof tiles/ stones shall be used |
84 | without any extra cost to the Department. The contractor may quote accordingly. |
85 | The quoted rates shall be inclusive of all Taxes, Cess, Levy etc. |

88 | GENERAL NOTES: |
89 | 1)Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work, acquaint themselves about |

92 | 2) All PH materials, water supply, sewer, sanitary wares & CP brass fittings & |
93 | fixtures, etc., shall be of first quality with ISI mark ( unless otherwise specified ) |
94 | and shall be of the make as per the latest approved list of manufacturers of |
95 | DCSEMas well as shall be of make as per the latest approved list of materials |
96 | oflocalStatutory body if required. They shall be got approved by the |
97 | Engineer- in- charge before incorporating in the work. |
98 | 3) All sanitaryware shall be provided from same brand |
99 | 4) All CP fittings / Fixturesshall be provided from same brand. |
100 | 5)All the items of work which are to be carried out below the ground level |
101 | involving earthwork excavation, the contractor shall bear the cost of Shoring / |
102 | dewatering during the progress and till the completion of work. |
103 | 6) The rate for the items such as sanitary wares, CP brass fittings, GI / CI / PE / |
104 | PPR / CPVC / uPVC / SWR pipes which are to be fixed on the walls / dado, |
105 | floors etc. includes the cost of fixing materials and matching colour cement |
106 | required for reinstating the surface to the entire satisfaction of the |
107 | Engineer- in- Charge |
108 | 7) All the items include testing after completion of the Work. |
109 | 8) In case of any item, in spite of its non - availability in the tender is required to |
110 | be operated under a particular part of schedule of quantities, the same shall be |
111 | paid under the similar / relevant item of any other part. |
112 | 9) Concealed / underground GI pipe line is to be wrapped with Pypekote |
113 | corrosion protection tape. |
114 | 10) The excavated / transported materials shall be stacked at convenient places |
115 | before spreading, filling & compacting at required locations. |
116 | 11) Specification for Bricks shall be read as class designation 35. |
117 | 12) Support pedestals at terrace will be paid under relevant civil item. |
118 | 13) All thermoplastic piping at terrace after completion, testing and commisssioning of work shall be painted with |
119 | water based distemper to avoid direct exposure to sunlight. No extra charges will be paid for the same. |
