Tender For Supply Of Hdpe (High Density Poly Ethylene) Bags For Packing Of Urea Produced At Bvfcl, Namrup (Assam) Plant And Imported Urea At Paradip International Cargo Terminal Private Limited , Paradip (Odisha) 1.0 The bags are to hold 45 Kg of UREA fertilizer. 2.0 The bags should be manufactured in general as per BIS specification BIS 9755: 2016 (Type I) as revised up to date & in particular to specifications wherever duly altered/upgraded in Notice inviting tender to be issued from time to time. 3.0 At present important specifications of bags being procured are:- (i) Stitching: The bags will be bottom stitched and stitching shall be in two rows of lock/chain stitch with tape of denier 20% higher than the denier of tape of bags. Number of stitches shall be 14+/-4 per decimeter. The stitching will be uniform without any loose thread or knot. Other details are as per ISI specifications. (ii) Lamination: The fabric will be laminated with LDPE film on Lamination Plant. It should be free from pinholes, porosity, tears, blisters or any other visible defects. The thickness of lamination will be 100 gauge (25 microns) minimum. The lamination will cover entire inner area of the fabric used in bags. (iii) Size of bags: Length (920- 930) mm x width (570 -580) mm (outside) Criteria of conformity as per procedure laid down in IS based on individual sample result. (iv) (A) Weight: Weight of finished HDPE bag for packaging of UREA shall be as under: 120 grams & above on average and +/- 3% tolerance on individual bag. (B) Mesh 10 x 10 (C) Denier 1000 (V) Strength: Width wise -900 N (91.8 Kgf app.) Min. Lengthwise -900 N (91.8 Kgf app.) Min. Bottom Seam -400 N (40.8 Kgf. app.) Min. The bags are subject to following tolerance in strength specifications:- a) None of the individual sample has width wise and lengthwise breaking strength below 90% of above specified value. b) None of the individual sample sack has bottom seam breaking strength below 95% of the above specified value. c) No tolerance is allowed in the average breaking strength and seam strength of the sample lot under test. The average breaking and seam strength should not be less than the minimum specified value. (vi) Colour of Bags : As per Bharat Urea Bags.
