8SERVICES
9Excavation ofarea of earth in the work site for cable trenches for minimum depth of 1000 mm including shoring & shuttering and back filling the trench with excavated earth within the work site as directed by the Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-charge including all labors, tools & tackles, materials complete as per specifications
10WBM road/ dyke cutting, concrete breaking for cable trenches including shoring, shuttering etc, if required and repairing of the road, dyke to original condition and disposing of excess material within the work site as per directions of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-charge. The job shall be complete in all respects including cost of labor, tools & tackles, material, load lift hire charges of equipment if any.
11CABLE LAYING: Layingofarmoured / unarmoured cables (control / signalling/ Triad/ LT cable etc.) and installation / pulling of telephone cables of all type in trenches, in cable racks, in trays, in protective pipes, poles, columns, in conduits, in panels, in buildings, walls, ceilings, and on structures etc.; including the supply and installation of all required materialssuch as fixingclamps, screws, cable straps,tags etc.as required (other than the supplyof the conduits, cables, pipes, cable racks, trays,poles,structures and panels) completeinall respect,as per specifications,drawings and directions of the SiteEngineer, including cost of alllabour, tools, consumable materials etc. and cutting the cables in required length Cables having outer diameter upto 20mm
12Taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, including removal of rubbish etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
13Laying old cement cocrete interlocking paver blocks of any design/ shape laid in required line, level, curvature, colour and pattern over and including 50 mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all complete as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. [Note: Old CC paver blocks shall be supplied by the department free of cost].
14Taking delivery, shifting within a road distance of 500 meters and installation & testing of the differnt instruments (like pressure Gauge, Pressure Switch, Pressure Transmitter, temperature transmitter, scrapper detector, level switch, level transmitter, flow switch etc.) of various ratings by fabrication and installing all the required pipe fittings with pressure pipes, valves, plugs, tees, nipples, junction box, cables, supply and erection of all other required materials such as the supporting structure clamps, cannopy, screws, nuts, bolts, aluminium sheets, GI wire, steel plats, cement concrete etc. complete in all respects including supply of suitable size non flame proof cable gland at control panel end and terminating the already laid cables at field, junctionbox and control panel end, mounting the junction boxes as per the Drawings, specifications and directions of the engineer in-charge/site engineer including cost of all labour, materials, consumables, tools, tackles and services rendered etc. All the instruments shall have to be properly connectedto the earth pit through GI wires. The works shall include labelling, tagging using SS plates, glanding and ferruling at both field and panel side. Installation to be done as perOEMs recommendations, vendor drawings and other approved drawings. The scope also shall include Calibration of instruments, hydro-testing of Impulse tube, providing assistance in testing and commissioning of the instruments to control system vendor along with loop checking etc.INSTALLATION OF DPT: Installation, assistance in testing and commissioning of Differential Pressure Transmitter (DPT) as per the directions of Engineer in-charge/ Site engineer and drawings.
15STEEL STRUCTURAL WORKS - Supply, fabrication, erection and installation of steel/GI structural works of any type and shape such as cable racks, trays, push button, control posts, ladders, lugs, chain link, fencing, angles, joints, channels, plates, flats, bars etc as required as per specifications, drawings, directions of site engineer/engineer in-charge, inlcuding cost of all labour, materials, tools, consumables etc complete in all respects. Job is inclusuve of taking delivery from owner"s go down and shifting to site wherever required.
16Supplying and spreading of approved quality of fine dry river sand in cable trenches as per drawings, specifications and directions of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-charge including cost of all materials, transport, load and lift charges, labor, tools & tackles complete in all respects
17Supplying and laying of approved quality 75 mm thick second class bricks flat (laid length vertical to cable) soling with sand filling in the intersection, in cable trenches for protection as per drawings, specifications and directions of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-charge including the cost of all bricks and other materials, transport, load & lift, labor , tools & tackles etc complete in all respects
18Supply, erection and installation of cable conduits made up of GI pipes of medium Class B subject to owner’s approval in trenches already made, on walls, concrete structure etc. including supply and installation of all necessary pipe fittings such as bends, sockets, elbows, tees, etc. bending, threading, binding etc. as required for laying of cables, in roads, nalas, station pipe crossings and cable rising up to the equipments ( where it is not mentioned in drawings as contractor supplied) as per specifications, drawings, and direction of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-charge including cost of all labors, tools & tackles, materials etc. complete in all respectsGI pipe with 25 mmnominal diameter
19EARTH STRIP / WIRE / ROPE / CABLE Supply, installing and testing of earthing strip/wire/rope/cable forcompletely making the earthing grid system by supplying, laying theGI / Cu strip and makingall the necessaryweldingjoints, connecting to the earthing electrodesand existing earthinggridetc., complete as per drawings, specifications and directions of the site "Engineer, including the cost of all labour, tools, materials, etc. complete in all respect. 20INSTALLATION OF JUNCTION BOX/ PUSH BUTTON STATION- for MOV/ROSOV: Installation of non-flame proof junctionbox, explosion proof / flame proof junction boxes, Push button stations for MOV/ROSOV for marshalling of control cables, terminating the cables at field and control panel end, mounting the junction boxes/Push button station, connecting to earthing grid by supplying and installing all the required materials such as supporting structure, canopy, cable gland hood, cement concrete, painting, GI wire etc. (excluding supply of the Junction Boxes/Push button station) in all respects complete as per specifications, drawings and direction of site Engineer including supply of suitable size non-flame proof cable glands at Control Panel end and the cost of labour,tools, materials, glanding, ferruling etc. complete in all respects.
21Performance of Hydrotest: After complete installation of piping assembly i.e. DPT tapping assembly, whole Assembly including all fitting and valves shall be tested at the hydrotest pressure as per tender specifications and as per instructions of the EIC. Contractor shall also arrange temporary blind if required and as per instruction of EIC.
22Making the hole (after completion of welding of weld-o-let/Half Coupling & Hydro testing) with 2 inch hand tapping machine in the piping sized from 8 to 42 inch for providing the connection for DPT. Job include the dismantling ofthreaded section of 2" pipe fitting connection and installation of Hand Tapping machine and making the hole, dismantling of Hand tapping machine and again assembly of threaded section of2" pipe fitting. Note: Hand Tapping machine will be arrange by Contractor.
23Fabricating the mechanical assembly of Differential Pressure Transmitter including cutting, grinding, aligning, fitting, fastening & welding of pipes, threading and pipe fittings including complete installations at site, as per tender specifications, WPS standards & as per instruction of EIC. All the fabrication works involving the hot jobs shall be carried out at a place designated by EIC in the station premises. Only one welding of the weld-o-let/TOR/weldpad should be done near/on the pipe where sample point to be made, welding of weld o let and weldpad also include this item.All the threaded joints shall be properly fastened with sealing by contractor supplied Teflon tape. Transportations of the fabricated assembly to the work site and installation of the same to the piping where cold tapping (Hole Drilling) was carried out by contractor.
24One coat of Red oxide zinc phosphate primer with 35 microns DFT followedby two coats of synthetic enamel paintwith each coat 25 microns DFT each ofrequired color (as specified by EIC) including supply andapplication of paints, strip coat on all weld joints / projections,supply of all equipments, tools & tackles, labor etc. as perspecifications of manufacturer and directions / instructions of E-I-C.

[Notes: (1) Dismantling shall be allowed during day shift only & prior permission for the same shall be obtained. (2) Providing of necessary covers/ barricades around the work area shall be done prior to dismantling operations] : Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (including equivalent design mix)
32Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:2:4 [1 cement : 2 coarse sand (Zone-III) derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources]
