The Vault (Strong Room) Door (Main Door) dimensions and specification shall be strictly adhering to IS 11188 (Part-1): 2014.,Door should be Opened Right to Left Direction.,Specification for the Strong Room Gate are as should be followed by RBI Guidelines.,The Door shall have BIS Label of Class B having Torch & Tool Resisting capacity for minimum 30 minutes and Fire Resisting Capacity for a minimum 30 minutes.,The bidder/OEM must possess Valid BIS License to manufacture and supply the aforementioned TRTL Door (Class B).,All the surfaces of the Door before painting shall be thoroughly degreased and cleaned of rust and scales preferably by 12 tank pickling process and treated chemically to prevent from rusting.,The Door shall be painted inside and outside with an anti-corrosive primer followed by two undercoats of paints and finally painted with quick drying paint, resulting into minimum 300 hrs. of salt spray resistance. (Attach certificate/declaration).,The main door (Class B) shall consist of outer and inner mild steel plates conforming to IS 2062:1992 for plates up to 20 mm thick strongly rimmed and continuously welded to form a single structure and tightly enclosing a solid slab of high speed drill resisting and oxy acetylene torch resisting material that is at least 50 mm thick.,Door Frame: The door frame and vestibule shall be welded to one piece construction with a minimum thickness of 10 mm and shall grip the concrete wall.,Rebate: The rebate of the door frame shall be formed by mild steel sections. The vertical rebates shall be riveted or welded with the side members of the door frame and shall conform to dimensions as specified by IS 11188.,Clenching mechanism: A continuous resilient packing shall be incorporated in the frame and a compression mechanism for clenching the door tight shall be provided so as to protect against admission of flood water or liquid explosives. In a locked position the door after clenching shall not have any play in the direction in which the door opens.,The Door shall have an automatic relocking device for each Key lock fitted in the door which being always on guard shall come into operation if lock is dislodged by explosives or by other means.,Primary lock of the door shall have additional relocking device which, being always on guard, shall come into operation if lock is dislodged by explosive or any other means.,The lock shall be dual control type and have at least 8 active levers of brass of minimum 1.2 mm thickness. There should not be any dummy (false) levers.,The bidder/OEM must be the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Locks used in the aforementioned Safe. (OEM must give a written undertaking on Letterhead and must also give an NOC to the bank for plant visit if needed),Lock Case: Should be minimum 2 step case construction covering entire jamb area.,The lock shall be fixed with at least four bolts of 8 mm diameter such that any pressure applied on the bolts either directly or through handle of the door, is not transmitted to the fixing screw of the lock/locks. All working parts of the lock shall have corrosion resistant properties capable of withstanding exposure for 72 h in standard salt spray test with 5 percent salt solution.,Bolt Work: There shall be 6 locking bolts each on the vertical edges of the door (Front edge & Rear edge).,Hinges: Strap hinges to be suitably bolted to the door shutter. The hinge and pivot should be such that there is no appreciable friction or play for the movement of the door. The pivots shall have arrangements for lubrication and a height adjustment bolt is to be provided to adjust height of door shutter.,Grill Gate (Inside): Ventilating Grill Gate shall be made of mild steel angles, plates or channels with mild steel rods welded in a rigid frame. The grill gate shall be hinged in strong room door frame such that it opens inside. An unpick able dual control locking device capable of being operated from both the sides of the door shall be fitted in the grill gate.,Emergency Door: The general specifications of Emergency Door shall remain as for the main door except for Bolt Work. For Bolt Work, there shall be 3 locking bolts each on the vertical edges of the emergency door (Front edge & Rear edge).,LIMIT SWITCH/LIGHTING CONTROL: Vault lighting control shall be fitted on the Main Door to automatically control the electric supply to the vault.
