fabrication and installation of new gates on mrc and its allied distributaries along with allied works- 1 fabrication and installation of new gates on mrc and its allied distributaries along with allied works 2 a) gate at mrc distributary of dai chak head side (near gho manhasan) of approx.size(6x8)ft fabrication of new gate leaf of size approx.(6x8)ft using ismc channel of 75x40x6mm size with requisite no. of cross members for proper support. providing and then welding the ms sheet of 6mm thickness on the frame of channel structure and finishing the gate structure. also making of provision for stem rod attachment. providing/fixing of requisite ismc channels wherever required for supporting smooth vertical movement of gate leaf in the civil structure by way of cutting/welding using superior quality electrodes. job includes fabrication providing and fitting at site of hoisting channel-02no.s fabricated out of ms channel 100x50 mm of approx length 8ft each and proper anchoring in the pcc. fabrication, providing & fitting of 05ton capacity manually operated, worm gear type winch machine along with base plate of 8mm thickness of suitable size and one stem rod duly threaded along its length for up down movement of the gate and then oiling/greasing the gear mechanism/stem rod before fitting. job also includes drilling of holes on top hoisting channels, clamps, base plate for fixing winch machine and stem rod. providing/fixing of the rubber seal at the bottom of the gate as per new size of the gate. complete painting of gate structure and the winch machine by way of providing two coats of superior quality paint after applying one coat of red oxide primer. loading the gate structure along with winch machine on the mechanical transport for carrying to site of installation. installation of gate structure by way of lowering the leaf into the sliding grooves using manual labour tools and tackles using hydraulic crane. also keeping provision of civil concrete work for anchoring of the ismc channels. connecting the stem rod to the leaf structure after ensuring the proper alignment/gravity of the gate structure. also providing of new operating lever for gate operation. checking of the gate for smooth operation at site. complete job includes charges of hydraulic crane, cost of material, transportation charges, labour charges and testing for its smooth operation at site. b) gate at saharan khul (4’-6’’x 4’-7’’) -1no.modification/realignment of the saharan khul gate by way of welding work/refitting of the top ismc channels 125x6mm on the new civil structure to be constructed by concerned civil division. job includes complete dismantling of existing winch machine from its installed position and then extraction of gate by means of hydraulic crane and manual labour. shifting of the old gate by manual headload/labour upto 1km and then by tractor trolley to the workshop. modification of the gate by cutting and fabrication works by providing/fixing the ms sheet of 6mm thickness on the frame of channels and finishing the gate leaf as per the new size of the civil structure. providing/fixing of the rubber seal at the bottom of the gate as per new size of the gate. shifting back the gate to the site of installation by mechanical transport and complete assembling along with support lugs on the ismc platform by means of providing and fitting of new nut and bolts. job also involves lowering the gate to its closed position inside the channel using hydraulic crane and by providing and fitting of new set of nuts and bolts for mounting the gate on end of stem rod. also straightening of the stem rod for its smooth operation. refitting of the winch machine and other parts at site and checking for smooth operation of the gate. complete painting of gate structure and the winch machine by way of providing two coats of superior quality paint after applying one coat of red oxide primer. job includes cost of material, tools and tackles charges, skilled/semi-skilled labour hire charges, hiring and carriage charges of hydraulic crane, welding set etc. at site. note: the tenderers are requested to visit the site and quote the rate as per site conditions. any modifications/alterations of the job, absolutely necessary if required at the time of execution may be done as per actual site conditions in consultation with the site incharge
