bids are invited for repair and overhauling service - 4ydax greaves engine; as per buyer scope of work; yes; buyer premises air electrical department (ald) is nodal department al providing second line support to dornier & alh mk iii aircraft, and other visiting aircraft viz. an32. c-130j. c-295 etc operating from this station. the charter of responsibilities of this department includes maintenance of air electrical gse held with the department ground power units (gpus) are utilized by frontline squadrons for aircraft start-ups and during aircraft ground maintenance ground power unit (gpu) p/n 4f/620100000, si no 348, held with department as a part of dornier aircraft inventory, was rendered unserviceable on 27 jun 25. during aircraft servicing, heavy oil leak was observed from greaves engine. further, defect investigation revealed leak traces from three piston head cylinders amc for the subject item has expired on 02 oct 24 and presently no amc is in force for maintenance/ repair of the subject gpu considering the extensive operational and flying requirements of frontline squadrons and sister services operating similar aircraft, the subject gpu is to be repaired on priority for ensuring flight safety/ unhindered flying operations total quantity :
