bids are invited for custom bid for services - 1. unloading of consignments supplied by vendors at stores. this may include spares, consumable, gas cylinders, oil drums, chemicals ( including those which are hazardous in nature such as alumina ferric, caustic soda, liquor ammonia etc. ) , insulation materials, cable and structural steels etc. 2. safe / careful handling and unpacking of materials. providing assistance during inspection of materials. 3. arranging the accepted materials in racks as per the requirement of the custodians / storekeepers. 4. shifting of the rejected materials to their designated site / loading them in vendor’s vehicle, if required. 5. assist the custodians / storekeepers during issuance of materials. 6. loading / unloading of spares, consumable, lubricant drums, chemicals etc. in trucks / vehicles during store transfer of materials to / from other stations of dvc. 7. loading / unloading of industrials gas cylinders in trucks for / after re-filling. 8. shifting of materials from one place to another in the same go down or to different go down as per instruction of the engineer-in-charge. 9. dvc shall provide hydra / forklift with operator based on the requirement of the job. while unloading material with hydra / forklift one number rigger with proper experience for handling cranable consignments is to be deployed. 10. cleaning / housekeeping of go down and the stored inventory as per the direction of the engineer-in-charge or his authorized representative. 11. segregation and stacking of ferrous, non- ferrous scraps, rubber items etc. at scrap yard and staking of filled in burnt / used lubricants / transformer oil drums at waste oil platform. arranging / stacking of old used batteries, e-waste etc. at their designated locations. 12. shifting of waste wooden boxes / cartoons etc. after unpacking from store premises to their designated locations. 13. opening / closing of gates / rolling shutters of go downs and assisting the custodians / storekeepers in sealing of go downs. 14. engagement of labour in any job / jobs is to be done as per the directive of engineer in charge or his authorized representative. 15. all requisite tools & tackles including safety items of workmen ( safety shoes, hand gloves etc. ) for the above activity will have to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. 16. minimum manpower requirement: 3 ( three ) numbers unskilled labour and 1 ( one ) number of semi-skilled labour are required to be engaged by the contractor per day. the agency shall engage personnel experienced in stores material handling. however, number of man days will be limited to ( 296x4 ) 1184-man days / year. 17. all necessary and associated jobs not indicated above but required for carrying out the above jobs smoothly are within the scope of this contract. total quantity :
