bids are invited for work package-strip-wash-conv-701, work package-strip-washing-701, scope of work for stripping & washing of engine components ( assemblies / sub assmeblies ) 1. the stripping of the engine modules / parts can be categorized as follows: a. full overhaul ( foh ) engine –before first test ( bft ) / after first test ( aft ) . b. intermediate overhaul ( ioh ) - before first test ( bft ) / after first test ( aft ) . c. partial stripping of any category of engines mentioned above as per any specific requirement ( like return to shop from test house ) or as per authorized program. 2. activities of stripping ( foh & ioh ) : a. stripping of the assemblies / subassemblies as per technology / program or as per hal requirement using the tools provided by hal. use of special tools beyond hal technology is not acceptable. b. stripping is to be done for one engine parts in one time / group in order to avoid mixing of items. mixing of items during stripping is not permitted. c. the detail parts after stripping of engine modules are mainly different varieties of blades, discs, drums, sheet metal parts, small parts including nuts, bolts, washers. d. small parts and blades are to be segregated and kept in plastic trays with identification tags for onward movement for washing. discs, drums, sheet metal parts are to be mounted on trolleys / fixtures with identification tags for washing. e. special care has to be taken for avoiding damages to these parts during stripping / loading / unloading / movement / washing. f. after stripping required trolleys / trays / tools / blankings / fixtures are to be arranged in the respective bays / areas. g. the area of stripping & trolleys should be cleaned and tools are to be placed at respective areas. h. special attention is to be given for bearing mounting areas. 3. activities of washing ( foh & ioh ) : a. all the parts of engines are subjected to washing. b. washing of the parts / assemblies / small parts / blades / nuts&bolts are to be carried in different identified baths / rigs like ultrasonic baths for small, big and medium modules, petrol washing rigs for small, big & medium parts, hydro abrasive cleaning of blades in rigs, c. cleanliness of washing baths and rigs after use has to be maintained. chemical as per hal technology has to be used in the ultrasonic baths and periodically these are to be changed. d. washing is to be done for one engine in one time / group in order to avoid mixing of items. mixing of items during washing is not permitted. e. washing of parts, assembly units is carried out to clean their surfaces and channels of parts from fat contaminations, foreign particles and carbon deposits. f. rubber parts and surface of parts where special coating is present are wiped by napkin soaked in acetone or as per requirement of hal. g. after washing, some parts are subjected to preservation as per requirement ( e.g gears ) . h. loading and unloading of the parts on trolleys for washing has to be carried out. lifting tackles / lifting devices are to be used for loading and unloading of big parts for washing. i. after washing small, medium and big parts are to be kept in respective trays / containers / trolley for onward movement. 4. special washing ( foh & ioh ) : a. hydro abrasive cleaning of blades. b. use of petrol washing rigs, ultrasonic baths. c. preservation of gears total quantity : 87065
