supply, erection and commissioning of juice filtrating rotary screen including piping, structure, drive, gear box etc complete in all respect expect pumps and caustic/hot water tank. specification: 1. juice handling capacity : 250m3/hr 2. juice loading per sq. mtrs. screen open area: 105m3/hr max 3. drum circumferential speed: 1 to 1.5 mtrs/sec.(rpm- not to exceed) 4. drum size should not less than: dia- 1.8 mtr.,length- 4 mtr 5. drive arrangement : positive through transmission chain and chain wheels or directly coupled, minimum 7.5 hp 6. material of construction: 6.a)screen drum : wedge wire screen of ss 304 welded type having slot width 0.45mm. 6.b)support and thrust rollers : of metalon/ polyuvethene/carbon steel case hardened supported on antifriction bearings. 6.c)all juice wetted parts like: juice tray, splash guards,ss 409 inlet feed box, drum shell at inlet and outlet, cush-cush, discharge chute 7. water sparging system :for cleaning and sanitation, to spray hot water through jet nozzle during operation. the rotary screen shall be mounted on suitable steel staging, having platforms around the drum at right angles to the mills so as to directly discharge cush-cush in to the inter rake carrier/rack carrier. control philosophy for operation of rotary screen. a) hot water sparging: the screen drum should be cleaned at regular intervals by sparging weighed hot water (80 to 850c) at adequate pressure (min 5kg/cm2 at nozzle header) through spray nozzle. b)juice sparging: the screen drum should be cleaned at regular intervals by sparging screened juice at adequate pressure (min 5kg/cm2 at nozzle header) through spray nozzles. the juice is tapped from screened juice pump delivery line and provided with valve, to spray the juice. in this case, a separate pipe header for sanitizing the screen with either hot water (80 to 850 at 1 bar pressure from imbibition water system or with exhaust steam (1250 c at 0.5 to 1.0 bar pressure) at least once in a shift for a period of one to two minutes. provision of caustic soda cleaning also required with different line should be mounted at outer side of screen. all juice pipe should be ss with long bends. all electrical equipment and their accessories for the drive of rotary screen in the bidder scope. juice rotary screen required with complete in all respect except pumps and tanks as connection to be made in the existing pumps & tanks. pipe and other accessories like valves etc required for connections in the existing lines and tanks are in bidder scope. bidder make arrangement to bypass the both rotary screens.
