bids are invited for 1 soil investigation drilling of bore holes as shown on drawing of 100nmm dia by mechanically operated rotatory drilling for soil investigation in any type of soil including boulders wathered rock and 76 mm dia hole in hard1 rock by diamond cutting to depth 10 m as directed by engineer in charge alongwith spt at every 1 5 m from gl till expected depth spt and other test required for designing the foundation of building 2 test report should include all the test required for designing the foundation such as spt values bore logs soil clarification and also should cover the general recommendaton for the proposed type of foundation system safe bearing capacity likely total settelment etc the report shall be submitted in quadriplicate duly bounded in a presentable manner the unit rate quated shall be deemed to be included the cost of submission of such reports and sample of soil 3 the quantities mentioned in ser no 1 above are tentative these will be measured and paid actually executive at site 4 the work is in restricted area 5 no water will be supplied by the department 6 the report should contain following for future referance duly bound in the book form as per standard practice in quadriplicate i bore hole chart.ii profile of all bore hole.iii ground water table if encounter.iv physical & chemical properties of the soil/rock as per relevent is provisions.v bearing capacity calculation .vi consolidated test on unditrbed clay samples.vii unconsolidated and undesized triaxil shear.viii crushing strength of hard rock samples recovered through hard rock.ix chemical analysis of ground water for ph . sulphate ch .x effect of veriation in depths of bore holes due to strata at shallow/greter depths shall be considered.xi clear recommendation in the form of type of foundation adopted shall be included in the report .xii 01 no trial pit (size 1.2 m x 1.2m x 3.0m) 5m away from borehole of building. total quantity : 6
