repairs to auditorium furniture at naval station karanja- 1 part i (wooden furniture) 2 removal of old unserviceable tapestry cloth of chair auditorium model no vto 300 of size 45 cm x 40 cm tapestry cloth with foam to round shape in curve pattern to seat and back including chromium plated screws and french polishing to glossy finish for all existing wooden surfaces of chair, paintng to existing ms portion of chair with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide / zinc chrome primer including removing of existing paint and preparation of old surfaces, oiling to spring and moving parts of chair for its smooth functioning, replacement of tip up spring and slider unit mechanism of chair to be done complete all as specified and directed by engr-in-charge.notes :- (i) supply cost of tapestry cloth shall not be less than rs 250/- per metre, white long cloth shall be provided for the cushion before fixing tapestry cloth. shade/colour of tapestry cloth shall be as approved by ge.(ii) polyrethrene foam shall be of 50 mm thickness for seat and 30 mmthick for back of chair. density of foam shall be 40 kg per cum. make of foam : u foam / sleepwell / dunlop. shade/colour of foam shall be as approved by ge. (iii) contractor shall be deemed to have visited the site of work whether he actually visits the site of work or not for assessing the nature of repair/replacement and nothing extra be admissible whatsover on this account. unit rate quoted shall be deemed to have taken into account for the above provision including above notes.
