lphep operation and maintenance of radial gates intake gates gantry crane and surge gate of pambla dam and connected structures for the year 2020 2021 , round the clock monitoring of hydraulic structures including operation of the upper vent gate & lower vent hydraulic gates , intake gates , gantry crane and surge gate of lp project for flood control as and when required ( by electrical / manual operation during power failure or mechanical breakdown ) . cleaning and greasing all bearings of the gears , pinions teeth of the gate , rollers etc . during non operating time as required or as directed by the departmental officers . charges inclusive for removing & replacing plate , plummer block etc before and after each operation . observing , recording , communicating the water level gauge reading of reservoir to lower periyar power house and various offices , pumping or dewatering the pambla dam gallery as per requirement . upkeeping of diesel generator and test running of generator if not in use for charging the battery attached with the dg set etc . as per the direction of departmental officers for the year 2020-2021 . ( grease will be supplied free of cost departmentally ) . , assisting operator ( only if necessary ) during monsoon months for round the clock monitoring of hydraulic structures including operation of the upper & lower vent hydraulic gates , intake gates , gantry crane and surge gate of the lphe project for flood control as and when required ( by electrical / manual operation during power failure or break down ) , cleaning and greasing all bearings of the gears , ponions , teeth of the gate , rollers etc . during non operating time . charges inclusive for removing/replacing cover , taking water levels & readings etc . as required or as instructed by the departmental officers at site for the year 2020-2021 .
