supply of ferritic steel sheet 12x1250x3000mmferritic steel sheet 12x1250x3000mm, ferritic steel sheet 12x1250x3000mm., as per drawing: is:6911-1992, grade x04cr12 ( 405 ) , surface finish 2d as per table 8., packing instruction: stainless steel sheets, coils an d plates:- ( a ) stainless steel ( austenitic & ferritic steel ) coils. the coil shall be prot ected in reasonably good condition to withstand normal handling hazard during t ransit with the following provision as the barest minimum: i ) coil should be wrappe d with a layer of water proof paper through out whole length. ii ) coil should be w rapped with a layer of biodegradeable sheet. iii ) outer & inner of coil should be wr apped with gi sheet. iv ) side of the coil should be covered with card board sheet. v ) after this whole coil should be wrapped with biodegradeable plastic sheet of suit able thickness. vi ) the inner edge of the coil should be protected by gi ring follow ed by another iron ring. vii ) outer edge of the coil should be wrapped with gi ring. v iii ) coil should be securely strapped with minium 5 steel bands through the eyes of the coil and minium 3 steel bands on the circumference of the eye. ix ) whole coil sh ould be mounted on wooden blocks for easy lifting / stacking. x ) the sheets in coil f orm for thickness 2mm and above shall have: inner dia of coil 450-800mm outer dia of coil 1000-1300mm weight of coil 2.4 - 10 tonnes xi ) the sheets in coil form for thicknes s below 2mm shall have: inner dia of coil 450-650mm outer dia of coil 1000-1300mm weig ht of coil 5.0 - 10 tonnes. ( b ) stainless steel ( austenitic & ferritic steel plates / sheets ) i ) the sheets / plates shall be supplied in bundles of optimum weight: 2mt+ / -10% & eac h sheet / plate shall be seprated with a layer of water proof paper, after this the w hole bundle should be wrapped with double layer of water proof paper and a biod egradeable plastic sheet of suitable thickness. a metal protection in edges should also be provided. ii ) all bundles shall have a minimum of 2 hoops upto 1.2 meter in len gth and one extra hoop for every additional meter. the bundles shall also be provi ded with skid ( wooden packing under neath ) to facilitate handling. mechanical dama nge & corrosion during transit if any shall be at the cost of supplier.
