supply of peeled, ground / polished, straightened spring steel round rods to size 26 mm diameter x 3195 mm long, material grade 52crmov4 as per iso 683 part-14 or en10089, 100 percent magna flux crack ( mpi ) tested and 100 percent ultrasonic ( ut ) tested as per clause 6.2.1.2 by the bar manufacturer and surface quality as per clause 6.2.1.4 of rdso specification no. rdso / 2017 / cg-01 ( rev.02 ) , feb.23 or latest. chemical composition shall be as per clause no. 4.2.1 of rdso specification no. rdso / 2017 / cg-01 ( rev.02 ) , feb.23. dimensional tolerance in diameter shall be within plus / minus 0.05 mm and in length shall be within plus 10.00 mm / minus 0.0 mm. manufacturing process, rolling reduction ratio, surface quality, shape and dimensions, testing of raw material, application of corrosion protection layer and other technical requirements shall conform to rdso specification no. rdso / 2017 / cg-01 ( rev.02 ) , feb.23. packing: [ 1.1 ] the bars shall be tightly packed in the form of bundles of approximately one mt each. each bundle may be wrapped preferably with biodegradable material for packing. if any plastic material is used for packing necessary government guidelines should be followed. bundle may firmly be strapped with metallic strips at least at four equidistant places. the entire packing shall be adequate to prevent water ingress inside packing covers and shall withstand movement without creating any rubbing mark during transit and handling. [ 1.2 ] in case the bars are transported by trucks, adequate wooden packing shall be provided below the bundles to prevent any deviation in straightness and to ensure the hook of the lifting tackle of the overhead crane is easily inserted during lifting the bundles.
