( ii ) design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from laboratory as decided by ge. ( iii ) contractor shall quote his rates by considering binder contents @4% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation on lower side in weight of binder contents as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ rs. 60 / kg of bitumen. 10 m&l for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete ( sdac ) 40mm thick ( consolidated thickness ) with 5.5% binder contentby weight of totalmix by using machanical paver and rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with using 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge.notes : ( i ) design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from laboratory as decided by ge. ( ii ) contractor shall quote his rates by considering binder contents @5.5% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation on lower side in weight of binder contents as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ rs. 60 / kg of bitumen. 11 scarifying or picking graveled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm and thickness exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm deep and removing thereof as accounted under credit, complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge. 12 preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, complete all as specifiedand directed by engineer-in-charge. 13 m&l for applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer @ 05 kg / 10 sqm of paving bitumen vg-10, complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge. 14 m&l for preparation of bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the line not exceeding 10cm in width with applied hot thermoplastic road marking paint of approved colour ( white or golden yellow ) , confirming to bs-3262-1989 with special applicator machine, complete all as per manufacturers instructions and directed by engineer-in-charge. 15 m&l for epair to potholes not exc 1.00 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & grade road metal ( including supply of road metal ) , complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-charge.
