special repairs for conversion of gi charpoy into gi charpoy with hard top at suranussi under ge kapurthala please refer tender documents , removing of old unserviceable long rail from the existing gi charpoy frame and supplying & fixing new long rail of length as shown on drg made out of 32mm dia , gi pipe medium grade after threading both ends complete all as specified and shown on drg and as directed by engineer-in-charge ( fd-220 ) , removing of old unserviceable short rail from the existing gi charpoy frame and fixing of new short rail of length all as shown on drg made out of gi pipe retrieved from long rail obtained aganist srl item no 1 here-in-before , after cutting and threading both ends complete all as specified and shown on drg and & as directed by the engineer-in-charge ( fd-220 ) , removing of old unserviceable leg from the existing gi charpoy frame and fixing of new leg length all as shown on drg made out of gi pipe retrieved from long rail obtained aganist srl item no 1 here-in-before , after cutting and threading complete all as specified including supply & welding fi clamps 25mm x 3mm for holding the mnf frame & painted black over a coat of red oxide and supply and fixing hard wood block ( wooden gutka ) of size 35x35x40mm fixed with 30mm long machine screw to legs as shown on drg & as directed by the engineer-in-chargenote for items 2 . 00 & 3 . 00 old serviceable material obtained from srl item no 1 will be used in item no 2 . 00 & old serviceable material obtained from srl item no 2 . 00 will be used in item no 3 . 00 . the unused material will become property of contractor for which necessary credit shall be affored in the contractor . , removing of old unserviceable hard wood block ( wooden gutka ) & supply & fixing new hard wood block ( wooden gutka ) of size 35x35x40mm fixed with 30mm long machine screw to legs as shown on drg & as directed by engineer-in-charge . , tightening of gi charpoy loose check nuts , elbows , rails , legs wherever required complete all as specified & as directed by engineer-in-charge . , removing of old unserviceable gi elbow from the existing gi charpoy frame and supply & fixing new elbow 3 way suitable for gi charpoy 32mm dia complete all as specified and as directed by engineer-in-charge , removing of old unserviceable check nut and supplying & fixing new check nut gi 32mm dia medium grade to the frame of charpoy complete all as specified and shown on drg and as directed by engineer-in-charge , removing of old unserviceable nylon newar from gi charpoys and removing from site and supply and fixing new plywood bwr type bb of size 2000mm lengthx900mm widex12mm thick , 7 ply including providing ms flat iron of size 40mm widex4mm thick x900mm long ( 03 nos on each charpoy ) at the different points of the charpoy to support the plywood . the plywood and flat iron shall be fixed to gi pipe with 10 nos nuts & bolts of size 65mmx6mm by drilling the holes ( three nuts & bolts on each long rail and two nuts & bolts on each short rail ) . the gap between gi pipe and plywood shall be filled with plywood 3 . 5mm thick , 50mm wide as directed due to 3 ways elbow between the plywood and long rail & short rail . plywood fixed for filling the gap shall be jointed to main ply with fevicol . each flat iron shall be fixed to plywood from bottom side with two nos screws of suitable size and length as approved by ge by drilling holes in flat iron complete all as specified . the exposed surfaces of flat iron shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer , plywood shall be isi marked and shall be of make - duraply/kitply/century or equivalent as approved by ge . note :- the modification of charpoy will be carried out as per sample of charpoy gi plytop kept in furniture yard , bso kapurthala
