sedimentation study phase-1 for kaushalya dam at pinjore , haryana sedimentation study phase-1 for kaushalya dam atpinjore , haryana , ( i ) establishment reference control points in the foreshore of the reservoir with dgps on the existing permanent features etc . , complete for finished item of work and as directed by engineer in charge at site of work ( ii ) carrying permanent bm along the foreshore of reservoir with total station etc . , complete for finished item of work and as directed by the engineer-in-charge at site of work , conduct hydrographic and topographic survey to cover the entire area of the reservoir up to full reservoir level ( 10 m x 10 m grid for hydrographic survey using advanced survey equipment and 10m x 10m grid for topographic survey ) . , preparation of contour plan with 1 m interval and area capacity tables and curves etc complete for finished item of work and as directed by the engineer-in-charge . , collection and analysis of sediment samples from the reservoir bed with not less than 7 samples covering the entire area of the reservoirs . suspended sediment collection for 3 days . particle size distribution of the samples and type of sediment deposition ( fine / coarse/ silt ) should be plotted in plan , preparation of reports , printing , binding and submitting copies complete in both hard copy and soft copy for finished item of work and as directed by the engineer-in-charge .
