repair/maint of 33/11 kv mrs yard , power transformers , ht vcb panels , distribution transformers , ht rmus , ht ug cables including servicing and calibration of relays at dolphin hills and other allied areas under age e/m no i of ge ( u-i ) , visakhapatnam , m & l for disconnecting carefully electrical connection from both ht/lt ( primary & secondary ) sides of the transformer , keeping them at safe side , draining the transformer oil to 3/4th level in clean container for re-use , opening top cover of the transformer by unscrewing nuts , bolts , washers etc , thorough inspection of bushings , windings , providing insulations to leads and terminals , refixing the top cover incl replacement of corck sheet/ gasket 8mm thick , tightening of nuts /bolts /washers etc and replacement of breather with silica gel crystal type , replacement of defective bushing rods/bushes/ o rings ( oil seals ) , refilling the transformer oil , improving insulation values by dehydration of transformer oil of transformers to achieve di-electric strength not less than 60 kv at 2 . 5mm gap as per relevant is with suitable portable filtration plant , connecting ht/lt cables , testing & commissioning complete of following capacity transformers :- , 2500 kva / 3150 kva , 33kv / 11 kv , step down , 5000 kva , 33kv / 11 kv , step down , note: ( a ) the inspection of transformer shall involve:-i ) checking of all clamps , nuts , bolts including core bolts & cover fixing bolts . ii ) checking all brazings , joints , tap heads and connection joints . iii ) checking all jumpers , terminations/ connections inside the transformer . iv ) checking the buckholz relay , conservator mog . v ) arresting leakages of radiator assembly by brazing . vi ) arresting wetting at interconnections by replacements of o rings etc complete . vii ) painting of transformer complete with two coats of synthetic enamel paint externally complete all as directed by engr-in-charge . viii ) conducting the tests on core and windings as per is like ratio , magentic imbalance , short circuit etc in presence of engr-in-charge and test results shall be signed both by the contractor and engineer -in-charge and kept on record . , ( b ) any damage to insulators/bushes/windings etc while in the custody of the contractor shall be made good at no extra cost to govt . the serviceability of the transformer shall be checked and confirmed by the contractor before taking into his custody . ( c ) the m/l for bushes , studs , transformer oil , filtration of oil , cable box , replacement of major spares , repair/servicing of oltc etc will be measured and paid separately . , m&l for overhauling of oltc of 33/11 kv transformer of following capacity by draining out of transformer oil of oltc , dismantling of top cover , inspection of moving and fixed contacts of all three phases and checking the operation , cleaning and removal of contacts of all the three phases and checking the operation , cleaning and removal of all carbon particles , cleaning of contacts with emery paper , checking the tightness of leads in the oltc board , and moving/fixed contacts . inspection of transition resistance and replacement of gaskets / contacts etc if found damaged , reassembling complete , filling up of oil , testing and commissioning complete all as directed by engr-in-charge . , a ) 2500 kva / 3150/5000 kva , 33kv / 11 kv , step down , m&l for replacement of radiator drain valves for 2500/3150/5000 kva 33/11 kv transformers including dismantling old one . , m&l for replacement of the ht porcelain bushings complete of following capacity transformers of any make/size/type all as directed including dismantling old one . , ( a ) 2500/3150 kva , 33/11 kv , ( b ) 5000 kva , 33/11 kv , m&l for replacement of the ht bushing rod made out of gun metal with threading & suitable length/size all as per existing including metal rings/bolts/washers/rubber rings etc complete of following capacity transformers of any make/size/type all as directed including dismantling old one . , ( a ) 2500/3150 kva , 33/11 kv , ( b ) 5000 kva , 33/11 kv , m/l for replacement of winding temperature indicator ( wti ) of 33/11 kv transformers of capacity 2500 to 5000 kva including dismantling old one . , m/l for replacement of oil temperature indicator ( oti ) of 33/11 kv transformers of capacity 2500 to 5000 kva including dismantling old one . , m&l for disconnecting carefully electrical connection from both ht/ lt ( primary & secondary ) sides of the transformer , keeping them at safe side and taking out the the transformer indoor/ outdoor type of capacity from 63 kva to 750 kva , 11 kv/ 0 . 433 kv , step down any make for carrying out refixing after completion of minor repairs like maintenance / replacement of ht/lt bush , metal rods , lugs , replacement of rusted nutbolts etc including cheking the continuty of ht/lt windings , top cover opening , prevent the all oil leakages , provn of new insulated gaskets / cork sheet for ht/lt supply etc complete all as specefied and directed . note: porcelain bushings , gun metal rods , cable end joint kit , transformer oil etc to be measured and paid separatly under respective schedules . , m&l for disconnecting carefully electrical connection from both ht/ lt ( primary & secondary ) sides of the transformer , keeping them at safe side and taking out the transformer indoor/ outdoor type of capacity from 401 kva to 750 kva , 11 kv/ 0 . 433 kv , step down any make for carrying out complete overhauling which shall comprise of the following includinguding handling , lifting , transportation to and from complete :- , a ) opening top cover of the transformer by unscrewing nuts , bolts , washers etc . including disconnecting core assembly from ht/ lt bushing and lifting the same gently and taking out from the shell ( container/ body ) of the transformer . , b ) m&l for draining out transformer oil from the above said transformer in the suitable capacity of container /drums and keeping it in safe custody for reuse . , c ) m&l for cleaning the transformer body from inside , removing deposited dirt/ sludge/ foreign particles etc . from the bottom/ body of the transformer and drying up the shell from inside before refilling of the transformer oil . , d ) m&l for cleaning and washing thoroughly core and windings of the transformer by hosing down with clean dry oil , removing deposited dirt/sludge/foreign particles from the windings/ core , thorough inspection of windings , providing insulations to leads and terminals , heating/ drying/ baking complete carefully and thoroughly inside the heating chamber at suitable temperature to obtain required value of insulation resistance etc . all as directed by engr-in- charge . , e ) lifting and refixing core assembly inside the transformer shell gently and carefully , connecting primary/ secondary/ neutral connections to the bushings assembly , fixing of tap change over including tightening of nuts , bolts , washers of the core to reduce humming noise all as directed . , f ) refilling the filtered transformer oil in the shell of transformer complete . , g ) refixing the top cover including replacement of cork sheet/ gasket , tightening of nuts/ bolts/ washers etc . and replacement of breather with silica gel crystal type all as directed by engr-in charge , h ) lifting/ handling from where removed and re-installing the transformer including connecting primary/ secondary/ neutral connections etc . all as directed by engr-in-charge . , note: ( i ) any damage to insulators/ bushes/ windings etc . while in the custody
