bids are invited for custom bid for services - r-1701-plantation and post planting works in mines back filled area, nalco mines, damanjodi - 2026-28 - digging pits in line of size (30 cm x 30 cm x 30cm at a spacing of (2.0mtr. x 2.0 mtr.) in mines backfilled area after alignment and staking. labour, tools and tackles required for the job is contractors responsibility including supervision. , planting and maintenance: the pits already dug to the required size and spacing should be filled up with the soil and farm yard manure and required quantities of chemical fertilizers and pesticides are to be mixed properly in side the pit leaving sufficient space at the centre of the pit to plant the sapling/seedling with ball of earth flush at the ground level as per instruction of manager in charge or his authorised representative. the seedling/sapling supplied should be carefully transported & distributed properly at the plantation site. the polythene covers containing ball of earth of each sapling/seedling are to be gently removed with a sharp blade and placed in the centre of the pit vertically filled with the soil mixture kept ready up to ground level followed by gently pressing the soil all around the sapling/seedling to avoid voids. in no case the collar of the sapling should be below ground level. weeding, hoeing and other maintenance measures are to be done twice during the contract period as directed by the manager in charge. rate quoted should be inclusive of all labour, tools and tackles and maintenance etc including supervision. seedlings/saplings fopr plantation will be supplied to the contractor free of cost. the contractor has to transport saplings from the mines nursery at his own cost . fertilizers and pesticides are to be supplied to the contractor by the department free of cost. , supply and stacking of good quality weathered cow dung manure free from debrish, stones, pebbles etc including cost of transportation, tools, tackles, labour etc. (compost measured in stacks will be reduced by 8% for payment. , taking care of the plantation against theft/ damage by peoples/cattle/fire etc is the responsibility of the contractor. accordingly contractor has to plan man power and take all requisite steps as per need to prevent fire and other related damages to the plantation. , transportation of seedlings from outside nurseries within a radius of 60 km from mines. vehicles and labour for transportation are to be arranged by the contarctor.
