soil investigation in r/o provn of qty-04 aerial masts for antenna of transmitter at af stn dinjan under ge (af) mohanbari , carrying out soil investigation as given below: - (a) boring through sand/ clay/ silt strata from ground level to 12 mtrs or depth of refusal whichever is less for bldg structure. (b) carrying out standard penetration test in bore hiles as is 2131-1985. (c) collecting disturbed sample at every 1.0 mtr or change of strata including packing and handling all complete. (d)collection undisturbed samples at every 1.5 mtr or change of strata including packing and handling complete as per is 2132-1965. (e) carrying out laboratory test for: - (i)grain size. (ii) liquid and plastic limit and swelling index. (iii) nature moisture content. (iv) specific gravity. (v)bilk and dry density. (vi) shear characteristic from un disturbed sample using direct shear/ tri axial shear test. (vii)unconfined compression test. (viii)consolidation test. (ix) free swell index. (f) the report to include clearly the following parameters: - (i) safe bearing capacity of soil. (ii) whether effect of high water table been considered or not in working out sbc.recommendation for sbc based on shear and settlement criteria including recommendation for improvement of sbc if any. (iii) type of soil. (iv) suggested size and depth for single stories bldg. (v) sulphate content of soil. => limited
