tender for defect rectification on steering gear system ( make- twin disc, model: asd-16 ) onboard icgs c-161; l-030: asd steering gear system ( make- twin disc, model: asd-16 ) not responding in follow up mode from wheel house and fly deck console view 20 deg stuck in follow up mode on stbd steering cylinder. post di / dr observed lvdt sensors of port and stbd are malfunctioning. same to be renewed and 02 nos qty seal kit on both steering cylinder to be replaced during emergency dry docking ( erdd ) and proved for satisfactory operation. the following inway jobs included:- ( a ) remove both steering cylinders and fitment back post overhauling. ( b ) post fitment of both cylinders hydraulic system to be monitored to avoid oil leakage. ( c ) post completion of defect rectification control system to be checked from wheelhouse and fly bridge console in follow-up mode.
