comprehensive in situ ecological rejuvenation of shashtrinagar pond through nature based solution through resurrection of native ecology for restoration of ecosystem service- 1 installation and operation of fresh water tank (1 x 2000 liters) and arrangement of fresh water for amalgamation of cownomics® herbal concentrate, inlet-outlet pipelines at the lake site like to perform resurrection, restoration and rejuvenation process. (lumpsum) 2 procurement of equipment for collecting of msw, floating particles in waterbody including: boats, safety jackets, floating waste catchers, dump carts, trapping nets, tullu pumps, foliar sprayers, watering pipe etc. during contract period (lumpsum) 3 soil ecology resurrection, natural beautification & protection:excavation of solid waste and construction & strengthening of embankment of the pond, adhering to the basic ecological theme, without any cement or brick work. all material to be used should be green, natural and biodegradable.naturally applied vegetation products (flat/slope area): •native species plantation •landscaping •watering & gardening (using pond water only), installation/erecting/augmentation of pillars with galvanized wires at inner/outer periphery, solar poles with lights, cemented benches, entrance gate and ghats etc. (lumpsum) •hedge plantation (e.g. bamboos, vetivers, acacia fernesiana, plumeri, euphorbia antiquorum (tridhara), lawsonia inermis (henna/mehandi), bougainvillea spectabilis, morpankhi (thuja), pedilanthus tithymaloides (devil’s backbone), hedera helix (english ivy), duranta repens (duranta), clerodendrum inermis (vilayti mehendi), lantana camara species, carissa carandas (karonda), hamelia patens (firebush), mussaenda species, jatropha curcas (mogli erand, biodiesel), tecoma (trumpet bushes), murraya paniculata (kamini, kunti) etc.) for creating a natural barricading of the waterbodies for restricting human intervention activities like throwing of plastics and solid waste etc. the same can be used by the birds for nesting purposes and biodiversity conservation too. (lumpsum) 4 installation and augmentation of municipal solid waste (msw) filtration & collection channel system at the confluence of the pond and drains (lumpsum) 5 initial six (6) months of resurrection and restoration of native ecology of pond through in-situ ecological technology: the resurrection: the complete treatment process is focused upon resurrecting the native microbiota of the wetland / waterbody. the phase lasts for a period of three (3) months, during this phase the foul smell & the mosquito population dwelling in the waterbody gets eradicated. i laboratory reports, there’s a substantial improvement show in the tds, tss and cod values. the water viscosity gets reduced, color becomes lighter and the transparency improves. waves are back the still water in this phase itself.the restoration: in this phase, because the native microbiota is already resurrected, the focus now shifts towards reestablishing the soil capillary link to aquifer through complete consumption of the sludge deposits. from the surface, the water level appears to be lowering down or receding. some people might take it as drying of water, but that’s no the real process. the sludge deposited in the bottom, is getting consumed and digested due to the eco-dredging process and water is reclaiming the space. thus, the more sludge gets consumed, the deeper the waterbody will become. basically, we can call it “restoration of the water holding capacity of the waterbody. again, the phase lasts for three (3) months. 6 12 months of rejuvenation of native ecology of pond and conservation of bio-diversity through in-situ ecological technology: during rejuvenation process waterbody will perform and deliver following services:1- waterbody will be perennial, free from foul smell and mosquitoes.2- aquatic life will be reinstated along with aquatic food chain.3- rain water harvesting & aquifer recharge will get reestablished.4- air pollution mitigation will restart naturally, which can be measured scientifically through equipment’s.5- native ambient temperature in the vicinity shall be restored.note: aftre 12 months of the treatment the water quality of the treated waterbody shall be equivalent to outdoor bathing quality standrads, i.e., do above 5, bod below 10, cod below 30, fc below 5, orp with negative values, or the is:2296 class b, of ourdoor bathing quality. 7 monthly water sampling & testing for various parameters for initial and rejuvenation treatment period.
