supply of liquid chlorine for year 2024 ( in 900 kg cylinders ) conforming to bis specifications 646 -1986 with up to date amendments if any , supply ofliquid chlorine for year 2024 ( in 900 kg cylinders ) conforming to bis specifications – 646 -1986 with up to date amendments if any 1.specification : the material must conform to i s specifications : 646–1986 with up to dateamendments if any. 2. quantity:4200 mt + / - 20% . 3. period:12 months 4. cylinders: the supplier shall deploy minimum 350 tonners for the supply in their own returnable cylinders and should give 120 days rent free period for their cylinders. the empty cylinders shall have to be collected by the suppliers within the rent free period from the date of supply. 5. rates ( i ) the rates should be quoted per mt of liquid chlorine inclusive of all charges i.eoctroi, freight etcand delivery charges up to site, loading, unloading etc . ( ii ) the bifurcation of quoted rates shall clearly be mentioned in the separate sheet. rates quoted by the firm must be inclusive of delivery charges up to site, loading, unloading, stocking & collection of empties back to the suppliers and also shifting of filled chlorine cylinders in emergency / shortage of supply from one plant to other plant. loading & unloading of tonners will be on part of supplier. 6. the department reserves the right to divide the total quantity to be purchased among more than one supplier if considered necessary. 7. department reserves the right to vary the quantity by 20% on the same rates with the terms& conditions of the contract. 8. the liquid chlorine shall be delivered by the supplier at the following places as per requirement which shall be decided from time to time. places of delivery : i. chandrawal water works – i & ii ii. haiderpur water works – i & ii iii. wazirabad water works iv.okhla water works v. rcc well at different locations vi. bawana water works / ugr / all re-cycling plants at wtps vii. or any other sites as per requirement 9. the supplier shall sent a proper challan showing number of cylinders, weight and quantities etc. with each consignment. 900kgquantity liquid chlorine in tonners is tobe considered. 10. payment shall be made against the pre-receipted bills in triplicate along with a copy of challan submitted by the supplier monthly. normally the bills shall be paid within 30 days from the date of receipt of bills in the manner mentioned above. 11. the quoted rates should be valid for 180 days from the date of opening of the tenders. 12. successful tenderer shall have to execute contract agreement on non-judicial stamp-paper of rs.500 / - as per the approved draft of the dept. and have to sign the terms & conditions as applicable on such contract. 13. no other condition of the offer shall be acceptable which are contrary to the conditions specified here in. 14. in case of any loss or damage to the cylinders or injury to the person handling the cylinders at any stage from the supplier premises to water works, the same shall be at the cost and risk of the supplier. 15. the firm shall ensure regular and uninterrupted supply of liquid chlorine in all circumstances in tonners during the above said period. 16. the firm shall depute one expert / chlorine operator ( centralized ) in delhi to attend any complaints of liquid chlorine tonners whenever it occurs at any wtp. 17. the price quoted shall be valid for one year and no price escalation on account of variation in the prices of raw materials shall be allowed. 18. any statutory variation in govt. levies shall be considered by the dept. 19. all chlorine tonners should be painted in yellow colour and the spindles should be checked at each delivery of consignment. 20. damaged / disfigured / rusted tonners will not be accepted at water works delhi. 21. the firm should provide some sets of operational and maintenance manual for safe handling of tonners. 22. the firm will organize mock drill programme at all water treatment plants at least once in a year to train djb staff for safe handling of liquid chlorine tonners at different sites of djb. 23. the supplier will ensure the availability of the safety devices with each driver to carry safe chlorine to delhi water works. non-compliance of the same can lead severe action under the safety rules laid down by the inspector of factories nct of delhi. 24. the firm will provide proper training to the drivers regarding safety measures during transportation of liquid chlorine to delhi water works. 25. the firm should not have been debarred from any organization for doing such supply. the necessary affidavit on no-judicial stamp paper is to be given on this account. 26. the successful bidder will provide onsite training at their site to the djb staff quarterly .
